Hi
My name is Veronica and I am a wife and mom of six kiddos(12,9,7,5,3,5mo.) I have been working on losing the weight since giving birth the first time lol. When I am not pregnant I am nursing a baby so that has kept me pretty busy the last few years.
My struggle with my weight began after high school but I never allowed myself to get over 180. I'm 5'9 so that wasn't too bad for me and where I would like to get to again. I managed to get down to 163 so that I could join the Army Reserve but soon after I got married and began gaining weight quickly. Two months after getting married I got pregnant and gaing 60 pounds. I didn't heed the advice to watch what I was eating and took the eating for two literally. After I had my dd I lost some with exercise and WW but I was never able to get back to prepregnancy weight. That was a struggle that would last for many years to come. Having the extra weight made my pregnancies very difficult and resulted in having pretty big babies. I am very thankful that they were all healthy and that I didn't suffer with diabetes or high blood pressure. All of my dc were born by c/section and that was pretty scary but I pulled through just fine.
We are done having children and I am ready to finally make my health a priority. When I had my last baby in Feb. 2010 I weighed 298lbs, my highest weight ever. I started exercising and changing the way that I was eating and now weigh 247. I have to be careful with my calorie counting because I find that when I go to low it messes with my milk supply. I am working on finding out what works for me. I am hoping to give and gain lots of encouragement here. I look forward to getting to know everyone!
