Hello everyone!
I just re-committed to losing weight about two weeks ago. I started at 256 and two weeks ago I weighed 244 on the Doctor's scale. Yesterday I weighed myself and I am down to 241. Yay! The amazing women on this site have already helped me so much. I know when I want to have something unhealthy to eat, or get a soda I can just pop on here for a minute or two and see someone else's wonderful success instead. What great motivation!
I have been eating lots of veggies and whole grains and lean meat. Just cutting down my calorie intake has helped a ton so far. I am trying to eat the right amounts of carbs & protein to give me energy for workouts too.
I started walking my Boxer (Moses) about 3 times a week to the end of my road and back. Now we are up to 2 miles up and down hills! I joined a gym near work (as I am much more likely to workout right after work, than when I get home) and have gone to two Lean & Mean (similar to Body Pump) classes so far. I want to work up to 2 or 3 classes a week, but I'm taking this slow. Classes are fun for me and I have met some really great women there too!
