Default Help welcomed!!

Hi, I'm Joselyn. I'm an 18-year-old student and I am trying to lose about 40 lbs. that I gained my freshman year at college from stress, changes in food and birth control. I am up for any suggestions. I am currently trying to keep to about 900 calories and am doing the Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred and a few workouts on free on demand for at&t. I just started today but I am dedicated to losing this weight fast to be ready for a bathing suit by June 30. Any and all help will do!

Joselyn, I know exactly how u feel! I gained weight my freshman year in college and am in the process of trying to lose it. I joined today as well and feel like it is a positive step in the right direction. Good Luck and I hope you feel amazing in that bathing suit!

Hey! It sounds like you're feeling really motivated and you're starting to work out so that's fantastic! I would caution you, however, to consider raising your calories. The number people usually throw around as the minimum is 1200 to make sure you're getting all the vitamins and nutrients you need, and to keep it sustainable for a LIFE LONG plan. Also, I think it's great that you're aiming to fit into a swim suit and you seem to have a goal for yourself, but perhaps June 30th is a little too soon for a 40 pound loss. That gives you less than 2 months to do it! I think time-based goals are sort of a way of setting you up for failure, but especially one that ambitious!

Anyway, good luck! I think once you tweak things a bit you'll be good to go!
