Hi everyone!

This forum idea is fantastic! I'm also new to the program- tomorrow will be the end of my third week. So far I've just been doing a video blog on YouTube of my journey but how great to find a group of people to really talk to about it with and share experiences.

I'm 23, 5'7" and my starting weight was 222 lbs. I weigh in tomorrow so wish me luck! Here a couple of my "before" pictures. My goal is to get to 140 lbs for my wedding in July 2012.

Default Hello Everyone

I am very new to the Ideal Protein diet myself. I started on wednesday so today is day three for me. I have been doing alright, except for crazy headaches but I figured that was going to happen to me because I had a very high carbohydrate diet and sugar and sweets and everything bad.
I am on the diet because my step-mom has been on it since january and looks amazing and she even took a break over the summer and gained 6 pounds back so I know it works, and I can't wait to see the results.

Post Day 1 :-(

Hello all,

Today is day 1 for me with the ideal protein diet and it was kind of hard (my job happened to have a last minute pizza party. I didn't indulge but it was hard. I don't know if I am doing this correct but I am going to list what I ate today and if someone who has done this for a while could look it over and tell me if I am on the right track. Thanks a million.
Breakfast-IP Omlet and water
Lunch-IP mushroom soup, water, lettuce and cucumbers with vinegar and seasalt and pepper
Dinner-Baked chicken, 1 cup of green beans and 1 cup of brocolli
ok here's were I got off track-I ate a caramel nut bar
I still had the chocolate drink for a snack.

Please help me get this right......these forums have been a true blessing for me.

Default Ideal Protein

Hi everyone -
I have been on the Ideal Protein diet for 7 weeks and have lost 20 lbs. I want to lose another 12-15 lbs. to reach my ideal size and weight. I have a few tips to offer those who have just started:

1. You won't love every IP food item, but try as many as you can and then order the ones you love. My two favorites are the potato puree and the chocolate drink.
2. Taking the vitamins was hard for me (esp. the calcium-mag) so ask for that one in liquid form. My center had it in a pina-colada tasting liquid which was not bad. A little chalky, but not bad. Easier than swallowing 4 tablets a day.
3. Drink your water. I measured out 64 oz. every day. It is a lot but it will help you lose.
4. Spread out the 4 cups of veggies in your meals and snacks. You don't want to be eating 4 cups at dinner.

Hope these suggestions and tips from someone who's "been there" helps!

Hi - The Walden Farms "Ranch" salad dressing isn't bad. Add a bit of your sea salt and olive oil to it if you want. I tried the Walden Farms Honey Mustard salad dressing and did not care for it.

Hi - Looks good as long as you had 4 cups total of veggies, 64 oz. of water, 1/2 tsp. sea salt and 1-2 tsp. olive oil. Plus your vitamins. On the first week, I was told by my IP Center that I could have a max of 4 IP products if I was hungry. That was only for the first week. For week 2 and beyond, just leave out the choco drink and you have it right.

My IP Center told us we could only have the Go Veggie Cheese or similar product, which has no dairy in it. One slice equals 1 oz. of protein.
