Hello everyone,
I came across this site trying to find south beach diet tips. I'm from IL right outside of Chicago. Yes it's the new year and like everyone else I'm trying to shed some pounds. I just reached my heaviest at 190lbs. I finally realized it does in fact catch up with you. After my days of eating fast food and going out and having some drinks I now know that it's not possible anymore without gaining weight. My goal would be 145lbs. I started the South Beach Diet on monday and I am going crazy. I want SUGAR and my stress relieving drink! But so far I've been good. I hope for some support and tips if possible. I did just buy the Wii Fit and hope it doesn't just collect dust
Hi Erin!
Sounds like you're off to a good start with a great plan ( it will get easier as you keep going) - the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on.
Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated and inspired - you'll be a wonderful addition to any of them. There's also info and first hand advice on different eating plans (like South Beach) and exercise to help get through the ups and downs.
There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.
I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of going off track or giving up. It has made all the difference in my success so far.
So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!
I have Wii and Wii Fit and I love them, I am sure you will make good use of em. The best part, to me, is that it is FUN to do and before you know it, time has flown by and you got a workout in
