Default New AGAIN ! from Michigan

I am 38years old and Mom of 3 Teens , 18 ,15,13 and married to a great Husband

he works on the road for 6-8 weeks at this time but its just something we have to do right now. We ALSO both need to lose weight.
I am shooting for a weightloss of 40 lbs putting me somewhere around 140lb.

I figured this be a realistic goal for now......
I need all the help I can get...... I have lots of stress ( stress and boredem eater here) noone I know wants to walk with me so I am always starting and then get bored by myself.

Well we are trying again, me myself and I .... maybe if I keep telling myself there is 3 of us I Get R Done ....

Hi Jasmi71 and welcome! I'm new here too! If you want some extra support, there's a cool challenge going on right now, the G2010 challenge. It comes with mini-challenges throughout the year, so it'll be easy to follow I think. I'm trying it and hopefully it will help!

Your friend probably doesn't want to walk with you cause it's so darn COLD up there! lol!

Thanks 1 lb at the time will have to be..... dont think I can handle more than that ! lol

Glad to have all "3 of you" join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained! There's also info and first hand advice on different eating plans and exercise to help choose the right ones for you and get through the ups and downs.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

You absolutely CAN do this.
I'm a former stress eater as well. It is a bad habit that CAN be changed.

40 lbs is a realistic goal! Keep us posted on your progress

Good for you I have returned as well....this time I have decided to set a small goal for myself then move it as I go. I hope that we all get the support we need....it is a journey for sure.
