Default Starting Again!

Hi all! I am new to this website, but I am by no means new to weight loss. I'm 26 and I currently live in Los Angeles. My whole life I heard of people who yo-yo dieted and fluctuated weight up and down. I never realized that I too was headed down that path. When I entered college in 2001, I weighed in at 225 lbs. At the start of 2002, I decided to take control of my weight and got down to about 178 lbs. I did a lot of calorie restricting and worked out everyday. This coupled with walking/biking all across campus, the weight melted off within 4 months. Over the next 1.5 years, I thought I could do whatever I wanted now that I had the body I wanted. It was drinking every weekend and eating not so healthy foods. I was able to keep in under 195 by the end of 2003 because I still worked out a good amount. In 2004 I had a lot of ups and downs in relationships that resulted in weight gain. I would eat when I was happy and eat when I was upset. I met my boyfriend and we continued to gain weight together (me more than him). When I graduated college, I had balloned up to 285 lbs. I was practically unrecognizable. I went overseas to see my family and they were just taken back by how different I looked. In September of 2005, I decided to lose it once and for all. This time I took a different approach. I decided to eat healthy moderate portions but still let myself indulge. The weight came off slowly, but I was truly happy. By mid 2007, I was 210 lbs. Then I moved to LA for a job and since then with the stress of life I am back in the 250's. I'm now living with my boyfriend who has lost a bunch of weight in the past few years with me but hes doing fine with weight management. I am tired of being so much heavier than him. I know that sounds shallow, but thats one of the (many) reasons I want to do this. So what better time than now. Its a Monday and the beginning of the month. I hope to be able to meet new buddies who have the same difficulties as me so that it becomes easier.
Sorry for the very long post. Thanks for reading.
