Default Hello Chicks!

Introductions are not my forte but I'll do my best.

I've gained once and lost; and now have gained again. I've only had weight issues as an adult but was raised in a family that had members who had weight loss problems from adolescence. My issues include what I think is something of an addiction or addictive issues with food. I need to develop my focus again to get back on track. I'm worried about developing health issues.

I'm hoping reading and chatting here will be both helpful and inspirational for my own work in maintaining a more healthy lifestyle and loosing weight.

welcome twiglet! What kind of plan are you thinking of following? I too have struggled with an addiction to food, (ok and emotional eating) one way I combat it is to always have a bottle of water on hand and low calorie gum or hard candy. I also cannot have certain foods within eyesight -- kraft peanut butter and nutella are my downfalls, so I avoid them like the plague and ask my housemates to store them in hard to reach shelves that arent eye level.

keep checking the forum regularly - and look through the sub forums for one that suits you. There is great support here -- and the best part is IT'S FREE!
