Avoiding the Florida Sunshine.

  • Newbie from Florida.

Thinking about trying out MRC. I am going to need all the support I can get. I've NEVER dieted and barely breath the word exercise. I just watched the pounds pile on since early middle school with a shrug and a chocolate bar. Five years of healthier eating after high school and finally gaining enough to hit the 260 mark on a Publix scale has sent me here to save my knees since I am unable to do it by myself. Seems like exercise is unavoidable.

Please wish me luck with MRC, I'll be signing up in July after purchasing a treadmill!
  • Hi Zan, welcome! I think you'll like it here! I don't know about MRC, but I'm sure there are members here who do and can support you concerning it. And exercise doesn't have to be more than a brisk walk a few times each week, so it's not so terrible (and that's coming from a former exercise-hater, lol)! Good luck!!
  • I was on the MRC diet and the second time it didnt agree w/ me. A customer at my work signed up cause I did and she has had wonderful results!!!!! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Welcome to 3FC! Surf around and settle in! We have forums based on age, eating plan, exercise and more! I'm glad you're here!
  • Thanks for the warm welcome you three! <3!

Yeah, I've been lurking in the MRC thread for a quite a while, and it is nice to finally be out in the 'open' .

My only issue is actually getting started I happily walk/kayak when in the middle of it, but getting my friends and myself off our butts to start with is the more difficult issue. *laughs*

But once I get a treadmill set up, I'll be set to go it alone.
*This is coming from the girl who perfected read/walking walking home over various terrains from middle/high school* I figure I can do both easier when I don't have to worry about roadways, cars, snakes, and people.

And a great book will distract me at it so I'll be walking until my legs tell me to stop a while and a good distance later. Or music, I've got some very motivating music. *wicked grin*

*Is oddly excited about all this...*

Didn't agree? How so? I really like to read other people's experiences with MRC before I even start (I tend to over-research everything .)
I really hope I will get to try it out (My job is looking rather shaky at the moment, though more than the usual temp position shaky - hence the worry and caution).

  • Glad you found us! I encourage you to start now with some little steps to officially begin your journey. Walking is a great exercise - a staple in my plan

Just as soon as I get that Treadmill (just getting out and walking somewhere by myself is not quite safe in my current neighborhood).

I've been pure nervous energy ever since I moved here.
