Talking Newbie Here on HMR!

Hi everyone,
I've been lurking for weeks and I finally decided I needed to start posting instead of peaking in on your weight loss successes. My name is Gaby and I live in Southern California with my husband of 6 years and our two young daughters, Stella 4 and Olivia 3.

I began the HMR program through our local hospital on September 8, 2008. I've been on the program for 8 weeks now and have lost a total of 28 pounds so far. If you aren't familiar with HMR it's a program that consists of shakes and entrees. I'm on the Decision Free program - 3 shakes and 2 entrees a day, no fruits or vegetables. Part of the requirements of the program is to attend class and have a doctor visit once a week.

I am so excited to start posting and journaling my weightloss with you all. I have read many of your post and I am amazed by the support you give one another and I can't wait to be a part of your group.

I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Gaby

, Gaby!

The HMR program sounds similar to MediFast. There is a forum dedicated to various meal/shake plans, located here (http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=194) if you're interested, as well as Diet Central.

That is great that you are attending a class and having weekly doctor visits. I imagine that would give you some sort of very consistant support from others following the exact same plan you are.

I hope everything works out for you on HMR and that you continue to lose weight successfully

Hi

I'm doing the HMR shakes now. I did the program about 5 years ago and lost about 40 pounds. I like the shakes but no the meals. I'm a very picky eater though my weight doesn't show it. It sounds like it is really working for you. I like the no decision of the shakes. I have one in the morning and in the afternoon after I exercise. I have decided to eat a balances dinner. Normally a chicken breast and veggies. Good luck in your weight lost journey.

PS The honey vanilla bars are very good also.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

loss4good: Are you ordering the shakes online?
