Smile no longer lurking

Hello everyone,

I've been lurking here for years! I've seen my weight go up 35 pounds since having my kids. I was fat before them and I gained almost 20 after each one as well. I've battled binge eating and still battle overeating. I am going to lose weight in a healthy way so that I can be a healthy mom. I'd also like another baby, but since I'm borderline diabetic, I need to get that under control first.

My first goal is 199- onederland which I'd like to see by New Year's Day.

I'm just counting calories and exercising with my recumbent bike and The FIRM videos. I've tried it all, and this is what I come back to, because I know it works. I just have to stick with it!!

Thanks so much to all of you for being an inspiration to me for so long. I'm really excited to be one of you now!

Good for you, get out of the shadows girl. You can do this! You are ready, I can tell! Onederland by New Years, lets make that happen, you can do this!! This is a 50/50 plan... exercise & a healthy eating plan. Kick it in the butt! There are a lot of great books that have helped me with my eating as well as just getting out there and walking. You can stick to the basics or if you have a little extra cash pay for a gym, workout videos, or new eating plan. Whatever you do, know that you are important, to yourself and your children! You can do this!

Here is a link for the 3FC book review, they're very helpful:

http://www.3fatchicks.com/diet/diets/diet-book-reviews/

My two favorite books on that list are The Fat Smash Diet and The 150 Healthiest Foods on Earth: The Surprising, Unbiased Truth About What You Should Eat and Why by Johnny Bowden. Another book that I personally love is Skinny B****, but this is only for people who don't mind some sailor talk!
