Hello everyone,

What a wonderful forum this is... so much helpful information and support.

I'm new here, and just figuring things out. I recently decided to start training for adventure racing, and realized how much easier it would be if I had to lug around a little less weight. I've been between 160 and 170 since about grade 11 and it's time to make some changes.

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

Hi SHINE . . . from another Canadian -- although I guess I'm just about as far from you as is possible.

There is a special forum that might interest you called Featherweights specifically for those dealing with only a relatively few stubborn pounds. Hope you'll also find time to drop in on our Crazy Canuks Cluck Club once in a while.

Wherever you end up spending most of your time around this big site, I know you will always find lots of support and encouragement. We will all be looking forward to getting to know you better, Chickie . . .

Hi Shine and welcome to 3FC! I too live in Canada, at one point I have been close to you and meowee. I moved from NS to BC last summer, then this summer I moved from BC to Ottawa. I know you will find plenty of support on this site and I know you will do great on your journey. Good luck and keep posting.

Hi Shine Good luck with your training! That's great. So sounds like you already have exercise down.. now all you need is a good diet plan, or new healthy eating plan. You can do it. There's a lot of helpful forums. Eating whole foods really helps me.
