Hi, I have never tried a weight loss forum before, but decided that I need all the support I can get. I just turned 28, am married and diabetic. I really want to lose weight to feel and be healthy. I have tried to lose weight many times and it is just so difficult. At first I start off really motivated and eventually the cravings take over and before long I am making alot of excuses meanwhile eating that forbidden chocolate cake. My husband is great, but he just doesn't understand how badly I want to lose weight. I am great at motivating and helping others, but never ask for help myself. I was just on the computer and was doing a little research and found this group. I am really committing myself to losing weight and am all about being positive. I want to encourge others, but I must admit that I too need encouragement.
We definitely understand the feeling here - look around and find a spot to start posting, then jump on in.
I might recommend the 20-somethings forum, for those in their 20's. We also have forums by eating plan (weight watchers, calorie counting, etc) and by amount to lose (such as the 100 lb club, for those with around 100 lbs or more to lose).
Well Hi there . . . great big from another Canadian and another Diabetic.
I'm originally from Toronto but have been living down here on the east coast for quite a number of years now. Where do you live you in this tiny little country of ours?
Mandallin mentioned a few places to get you started and I'd like to invite you to another couple that might be of special interest to you . . .
