I've been wandering around these forums for about a week, and decided that I should finally make an account!
A little bit of background, (Part rant! Hehe), I've had issues with depression and whatnot, and started with obsessive Video Game playing and emotional eating...Never good! I'm on medicine and in therapy now, but, I flipped out when I looked at myself in the mirror and saw that my face was fat...Apparently I weighed 170 (Hopefully some of that is water weight, TTOTM and all..)
Now, I'm just trying to equate the pudge with the food, cuz in my mind it doesn't actually make a difference! Hopefully reading these forums will keep it fresh in my mind though
. . . glad you found us, Chickie . . . and I know, that you know (in your heart of hearts), that both the emotional eating and the lack of physical movement entailed by the video games, has definitely had a 'bit' to do with the weight gain. Stick with us, and we can definitely help give you lots and lots of support and encouragement as you travel the road to better health and fitness.
You're not alone with the depression. There's a good number of us here (myself included) who suffer with you.
