Hi! My name is Maggie, I am 25 years old, married to my high school sweetheart, who is a Staff Sergeant in the US Army. We have a 3 year old daughter, Gracie, with cerebral palsy from a stroke in utero. She is healthy and normal and annoying but a lot of work with all the therapy and pre-school and doctors' appts. I feel like I never have time for myself. I have started going to the gym, about 3 times a week, but I haven't had much luck. i think I just need some support.
I want to be a size 12, which I was when I got married and I weighed 155 lbs. I am shooting for 160, so I have a long way to go. I want to lose a lot by the middle of April when I am going home to see my family, take my kid to Disney and have her baptized in the church I grew up in. I want to look ok in the pics!
Thanks
Maggie
Maggie, welcome to 3FC!
"healthy, normal and annoying..." ... Gracie sounds wonderful. But yes, you must be a busy mom.
This is a great place for support. If you haven't already looked around, there are lots of different areas to post in.
Your goals are similar to mine. I weighed 156 when I got married, and while I felt overweight at the time, I would love to be there now!
Best wishes... you can do this!
Maggie I just joined by a recomendation from a co-worker and saw your blog. It touched my heart I wish the best of luck to you I know it must be very difficult having a child let alone one with special needs. I hope you reach your goal!
