Default Hi, I'm new.....

Hello, all. I have enjoyed getting to know some of you through your postings. I spent most of yesterday cruising around this entire phenomenon known as 3FC. I think I read something about it in Newsweek, or somewhere. Had no idea this existed.

I am intrigued by the Fat Smash diet, and believe me, I know them all! Can even do the math for the Zone. I followed the Fat Smash diet today as outlined in the 3FC book review. It seems easy enough, except for eating out on a work day..Phase one could be tough to do without some planning and effort. I sure am full. Will especially like chatting with those on this diet, but wish you all great success.

I noticed not many give their age..this seems to be a particular challenge. Since hitting the big 5-0 (and refusing to log any years beyond that. I still have birthdays, just don't count 'em) I have more fat and less muscle, to be sure. Would love to hear from some boomers.

Hi Maryblu!

Welcome!

I'm 55 and have been at this weight loss thing for about the last SEVEN YEARS! I've had my best progress at the beginning and now. I've gone up and down, hit some long plateaus and done well at other times.

I am in my home stretch now to reach my goal and am very motivated to finally reach it!

I'm glad you like the site. I love it! Glad to have you here!

Cheryl

Maryblu -

I've found that with any plan, be it calorie counting, fat smash, Atkins, South Beach, or otherwise, planning is KEY. I am an OCD planner - I write my dinner menus and shop at the beginning of the week, then fill in my Fitday (see link at left) with what I plan to eat the next day before I go to bed the night before. Then it is packed and ready to go so that my eating the next day is completely taken care of - I don't go hungry and I stay on plan.

I'm only 24 - some of your struggles are unique, but most of the battles we fight in maintaining our new healthy lifestyles are the same for all of us.

Can't wait to hear more from you soon! Keep posting!
