Talking New to Forum!

My name is Kelly and I just joined this forum. Saw the article in Oprah's Magazine! I had family pictures done a couple weeks ago and just got them back! O MY GOODNESS!! I knew I needed to lose weight, but I hate getting my picture taken and haven't for a long time, but when I saw these, I knew something has to be done! I currently weigh about 240and am only 5'1". I feel like an apple wabbling back and forth on the kitchen countertop! I do not have a scale, but will check progress on a scale somewhere else about every 2 weeks or so. I want to be 135 when all is said and done! I hope to find encouragement and meet new friends on this forum! Be blessed in everyone's efforts during their journeys!

Kelly

Hi Kelly, welcome to 3FC!

Oh my gosh, I hate having pictures taken, too! For years I convinced myself that they were just bad camera angles, etc But the day eventually comes that we have to face the fact that it's really how we look. Thanks for joining us, we hope to watch you reach your goal, and don't forget to post those after pictures!

Hi Kelly -- welcome to you too! Today's my first day as well. I HATE my
picture taken -- quite painful. I'm looking forward to chatting and support
here.

Thanks for welcoming me Suzanne and fatbride!! I will be starting my journey tommorow! I bought a Gazelle, so I don't have to leave the house to work out! By the way Suzanne, I emailed that TV Show about the 3 sisters you put on the announcements board. I am a triplet and we are all the same size and we all wish we could lose weight! I am excited to hear back from them!

Hi and welcome! You've come to the right place for inspiration, tips and help. Tell us a little more about what you like to eat and do for exercise and we'll help you find some threads where you'll feel right at home.

I love Alabama!

Default I'm new too

I also had my picture taken (at a work party) and I couldn't believe my eyes. I knew I had to lose weight but I didn't admit it to myself until I saw the pics.
And so our Journey will begin.....

I don't do too much for excercise right now. I did work out on my Gazelle today, but it isn't consistent. I like all the foods I shouldn't be eating. I know I need to change that right away! Thanks for welcoming me and I hope to get encouragement here!

The Gazelle is good, so is plain old walking. Don't you like chicken? celery? spinach? salmon? apples? grapes?

Welcome, I hope you come here often. Lots of terrific ideas and people. Make sure you write down your food and exercise if you don't already do it.
Fitday.com has a great site and it's free.
Good luck in your weight loss efforts.

Yes, I like chicken..grapes, salmon, apples..not a big fan of spinach though. What else do you suggest I eat? If you don't mind listing some things I would appreciate it!
