Hi, I'm a senior in high school getting ready for college, and while I'm not overweight, i did put on a few pounds over winter break that I'm having trouble loosing.
A couple years ago I started binging and purging, not realizing the effect it could have on my body.Luckily, I'm a fairly serious runner and I stopped after I realized that it was hurting my performances in races. Stopping was difficult at first, but I haven't had any reaccurances for the past year. Lately I've been binging to try and deal with the stress of college applications and see-saw dieting for the past year and a half.I really need to get back in shape and start eating healthier for track in the spring. Are there any other high schoolers on here that would like to buddy up with me for support?

Welcome. One of the hardest parts of an eating disorder is realizing and being honest with yourself that you have one. You obviously know this is a problem so you're on your way. Why dont you check out the Chicks in Control thread. I think you'll find lots of support there. I'm not sure about other hs'ers there, but I know you'll find some around on the boards.
