I stumbled across this site looking for advice and diet buddies for motivation and support. I currently weigh 259lb, having last a half stone since xmas. Ive have set myself a long term target of 140lb. But am going to go for mini targets of half a stone at a time.
I have recently been diganosed IBS and am on Anti-depressants. I have decided that this year is the one where I take control. I aim to get myself off the pills, become healthy, lose the weight and in some ways the IBS is a blessings as it forces me to take alot more care with my diet.
You are starting about where I started last year. You can do it! I have problems with IBS, too, since having my gall bladder removed several years ago. I have also struggled with anxiety and depression, too. Losing weight and exercise will help all of these problems. I don't take any medication anymore except blood pressure pills and I hope I can get off of them in the future, too.
