Happy Sunday!

Had weigh in on Thursday and down 4 lbs. I am really noticing a difference. I went to get some new clothes for spring and even though I see a change, my size is only down one. Which is weird but also makes me think I was squeezing into the wrong size before I started protocol. I also got a dress that doesn't quite fit the way I like yet but it is motivation to get there.

So not used to journaling. I keep forgetting but am getting everything in that I need to. I am usually filling it in a couple days after the fact. Need to work on that this week for sure.

Another birthday party today on my in-laws side. Ugh. They are ordering KFC. Wish we would go out to eat as then I could control the choice sooo much more. They are stuck in their rut and I just make due.

Rhonduz- Good luck to you and your journey!

Bubsalub- How are you doing? I am a creature of habit and usually get the same stuff every week. For breakfast I have the Strawberry Banana drink as I miss fruit and this fills that craving for me daily. Lunch is the Vanilla Crispy Square as my dessert from my veggies or the Trail Mix sprinkled on my salad. Snack favorites are Lemon Wafers and Southwest Cheese curls. The sour cream and onion soy puffs, chocolate soy puffs, caramel nut bar, caramel mug cake, chocolate chip pancakes and maple oatmeal are all good too. I loooooove roasted eggplant cubes. I also make buffalo cauliflower quite a lot. Turnip fries are another go to when craving fries. I have found that onion powder acts as a coating without much flavor if you are missing that breaded feeling.

Mezmerelda- always feels good when other people notice your hard work!

Have a great week!!

Hi Everyone! I'm back once again to lose the weight, I have lost before.
So frustrating but also excited to be back.

Thanks Rhonduz! Just figuring out how to navigate and get back to my posts... I have also found out that I am extremely sensitive to sugar alcohols. I read a post where an IP coach suggested a client eat a yummy bar every other day instead of each day. I love my nightly snack of my favorite bars from Nashua Nutrition so I have opted to eat 1/2 an unrestricted bar every night. That has made a huge difference in my pattern along with always measuring my veggies and drinking 3 52 oz glasses of water a day. Also, I bought Keto-Sticks at CVS. I am loosing weight well when my morning stick reads small. When any less I am back to a slow pattern. Check and adjust always has been the name of the game for me.

Happy Sunday!

Have not been feeling very well lately. My girls have been rocking a cough and I have finally caught it. The urge to eat all the food comes on strong when I am not feeling well.

Had weigh in on Thursday and down 2 lbs. My new coach only measures once a month and I am excited to see what my numbers are. I have been trying to workout everyday but it seems more like 4 days a week. I am noticing a difference. I put on a skirt yesterday and it was too big! It is supposed to be really hot this next week so I will have to pull out all my clothes and try them on to see what I will have to box up.

Minnie - Welcome back! I am in Regina too! What clinic do you go to? I was at the one off Broad st. But switched to the one on Quance as they have sooooo much more food than the other.

Donna - my coach and I played around with my food and I alternate my restricted items every other day with a non restricted for snack. It seems to have really helped my weight loss as with having all restricted snacks my weight loss was around 1/2 a pound a week. Ugh.

Have a great week ladies!

So, I finally had my first meeting this afternoon. My two coaches are great, and they're working with me to allow me to use some of the alternative products I already have (like my Quest powders, supplements, etc.) I got the Strawberry Banana drinks, Broccoli and Cheese soups, and the Peanut Butter Bars. Plus, my coach gave me some freebies. I have individual packets of the White Cheddar Ridges, Mac and Cheese, and Banana Pudding. I'm all set to start tomorrow and couldn't be more excited!

OOOOhKaaaay - how was day 1? Inquiring minds want to know!!

Positraction 05-05-2016 05:35 PM

Day 1 went fairly well, I think. I was pretty hungry between meals, even though I split my snack (peanut butter bar) between breakfast and lunch, and lunch and dinner. I went to bed hungry, too, but that's to be expected I guess. I may need to add another pack just until I get adjusted to the protocol. I also may need to have something a little more substantial for breakfast than the strawberry banana drink. Still excited for this, though, and still motivated to make it work for me!

Happy Thursday!

Weigh in day today and down 3 lbs. I picked up the raspberry chocolate bar to try this week as the chocolate cravings are hitting me HARD. The most exciting thing is I have reached the halfway mark! 47.5 is exactly half of what I am wanting to lose. Woohoo! My total is actually 49 lbs now!

I had a major stress fest today which is making me want that chocolate tonight! I have a daycare and we were busy making Mothers Day presents with the kiddos last week. Homemade bath bombs which the kids loooved making. Went to pull them out today to work on wrapping them up and they had all turned to piles of powder we quickly remade them today but holy cannoli it was a craaaaazy day! Hoping they stay together now!

Positraction - Yay so excited for you to start! The first couple of days are an adjustment but make sure you get in your water and those unlimited vegetables if you are feeling hungry. Before you add in another packet make sure to talk with your coach. They are all carefully balanced to put you into Ketosis and by adding another packet it might prolong the change over. The maple oatmeal was my go to breakfast when I first started as it felt very satisfying. The chocolate chip pancakes are also yummy ( I make them into waffles though).

Doing a week 2 checkin. Stuck to protocol strictly with the exception of a 1/4 avocado. Down just 1.8 pounds, but had a full 1% body fat loss this week (told average is 0.2-0.6% weekly). I'm told this is good. Hopefully. I feel great with plenty of energy. I was hoping to loose 3-4 pounds weekly, but I'll take 2 a week. We shall see I guess.

This is me checking in too. I'm on Day 17 and feeling pretty good. I've been going against IP and working out a lot lately at the gym. On the days I workout I have an extra packet. I also haven't been measuring my veggies so I'm a little concerned I'm having too much so I think I'll start weighing them this week. A couple of people have told me this last week that I'm looking good. I tend to lose weight in my face pretty fast so I think this is where they see the results. However, I think I feel more confident about my body now that I've been eating clean and working out so I may be carrying myself a little more confidently instead of trying to hide my stomach or legs with a huge sweater. :dancer: I haven't weighed myself in a few days but I know I'm gaining muscle so it could be a slow ride down to my goal weight. The key is I feel so much better and stronger so I can live with the slow pace. I'm a little scared of signing up for the Facebook page IP group so people please check in here so we can keep reading about your progress. Thanks to all. :D

Hi Lenas and welcome! I think you can count herbal teas in your water intake. I drink a lot of herbal tea during the day. Right now I'm drinking green tea with mint. I have to really remember to actually drink straight water during the day and try to in the early morning and evening to make sure I'm get the pure stuff as well.
