Also, is there any alternative to the capsules?

Turns out I won't be eating any of the pudding or sweet drinks, since they presumably all have sucralose, which I cannot abide. I tried the pudding.. it was a no-go.

Hoping for better luck with salty things. The BBQ chips are ok.

I have had days when the supplements in the morning have bothered my stomach a bit, but I think the multivitamin gets me more than the potassium. I have switched to alternative supplements that are less expensive, and I imagine you might go to a good Vitamin Shoppe or GNC and find formulations that meet the ingredient requirements but are more stomach friendly....

I think I posted a link to a good summary of the supplement formulations and why we are taking each one -- check the Alternatives thread, or the Newcomer thread - you can do a search for Supplements and you'll find lots of info on them with comments by many IPeeps.

Anyone here have the most recent phase one sheet? I've been reading for 2 hours with no luck. I checked the stickies and faq last I found was 2011 but my 2013 was newer and I know now they've added lots of free veggies but need a sheet

I started technically in Dec, on the 27. First week in and down 4.4 pounds. Everything is going great! Looking forward to seeing everyone's success! We CAN do this!!!

I can't take the supplements in the morning due to meds I am on, so I take them at lunch and dinner with my meals. You may find it's easier to take them when you're not taking them on an empty stomach?

Hi all, started (my version of) IP yesterday using all alternative products based on the wealth of info I have found in the forums. I am vegetarian and trying to use as much whole food as possible and limit the processed items where possible. It will be a challenge but I'm up for it and hope to get to know some of you along the way.

Cheers!

There's a thread or two on here with ideas for 'on plan' vegetarian ideas using seitan or Quorn etc...

Hope this helps a bit...

Hi Tuca125.... Nope, but I enjoy Costa Rica - we vacationed in the mountains (cloud forest hiking) and on the Pacific side (Samara) for boogie boarding and surfing. Do it yourself trip - not all inclusives. Staying in small local hotels and bed & breakfasts. Playing with the locals, lol. Soccer on the beach at sunset, bus trips to other little towns, etc.

Thanks Liana! I had read a few of the vegetarian threads but hadn't seen that last one. Has a lot of good, updated info.

Congrats on your loss!

Hello,

I am vegetarian as well, with exception of Eggs. I am taking Eggs or Tofu as my protein in dinner. And would love to explore other options.

Please let me know if you find something.

thanks

Hi, Everyone! I am starting on 1/11 since I have a half marathon this weekend. I've met with my coach and have everything. I've also ordered Javena's cookbook. I think the first couple of weeks I'm just going to keep it simple and follow my sheet.

acidlollipop 01-06-2016 03:05 PM

Hi All,
I started back in May last year, but work and life have been crazy over the fall so although i didnt gain over the couple months, i was definitely not on plan and didnt loose.

Now that its a new year, I am planning a new start with more motivation. I got engaged over the holidays, which is adding to my motivation to get the weight off this year. First WI back after the holidays is tonight. I am expecting a couple pound gain tonight after holiday food, but hopefully nothing major.

smdawheel 01-06-2016 07:37 PM

acidlollipop - Welcome back and congrats on the engagement -- I wish I had found IP before my wedding. I am getting close to my wedding weight and am planning on putting on the wedding dress when I reach that weight.

beaka - good luck on the 1/2 marathon and your start on Monday. What city is the marathon in?

2016Chick and maybeface - welcome. Wishing you a great journey. I hope you can support each other with different vegetarian options. (I am not much help with that)

canadjineh and HIS - thanks for sharing your wisdom. It is so nice to have successful folks help out us newbies.

Diana B and kmstacy - welcome back.

I have my week 8 weigh in tomorrow. Hoping for a successful 3 holiday weeks. (really not hoping because I do weigh at home and I know I have been successful -- but the clinic dressed scale is different than the morning home scale. I am also looking forward to discussing walking and my upcoming cruise with my coach. I think I am planning on staying OP , but want to ask about switching real protein for a packet for lunch or doing P2.

Sue
