THANK YOU. I think that's the beauty of these boards... we fill in where there are maybe gaps at some clinics. I like this place ok but I feel like they are definitely in it to sell the product ... and keep selling it. all their strategies seem to harken back to IP products and while that's "ok", my goal is to be able to eat more "real" food and less packaged.
At least I know I'm not alone in the "not getting it" from the IP notes and clinic department
PS I LOVE MyFitnessPal I track every day no matter if I'm on or off or crazy off. It helps me realize how off the off really is.

Hi Vachinyc, nice to see you! Maintenance is a challenge, I needed to reboot after going a bit food crazy this fall. Back on track now. I agree, I do not want to eat packaged snacks forever.

Hi there maintainers!
Things have gotten out of hand for me. I am up to 153. I was so smug. I thought that this wouldn't happen to me, but guess what it did. Some of this could be inflammation/water retention but...Yikes! I've been working out hard for the last two weeks and lowering calories and carbs and the scale has not moved downward at all. So...placed my order at Nashua on Friday night. I haven't been diligent since Christmas so now I have to do a reboot. Things in the closet are tight or just don't fit. Ugh.
I also don't want to have to resort to P1 but going to a strict P2 for the last two weeks with no weight or inches change was very discouraging. I guess I have to wrap my head around the fact that P4 is going to be a life long thing for me. I'm not too happy about that right now. I've gone back to the unhappy moaning in my head of why can my friends eat chips and salsa and ice cream and they don't gain 3 lbs but I do? I have to remember that as a FFP(formerly fat person) my body is just different and always will be.

Don't give up Andrea! We have been or are in the same spot with you... I'm being kinda lazy on my 'reboot' not P1 or even 2 at all - more like Keto laziness, you could term it. Try to ignore your friends who can eat chips & salsa & ice cream and not gain weight (they probably aren't all that healthy anyhow, lol), we need to do what we need to do for our bodies and health. You will get there again!
Just keep to your workouts - make sure they are fun, though. And hop back on the bandwagon, being diligent (this is also a pep talk to myself ).
We need a laugh:
Liana

Liana,
Hahaha! I love that image. Although to be honest, the whole 5 lbs. will have to be brains. The girls disappeared during my big loss. You would think with this much of a gain they would come back...but no. It all went straight to my waist, hips & thighs!
Nashua delivery can't come soon enough. Until then..P2 baby!

Liana - what is interesting is that while small (B Cup from a C), since I started weight lifting and added some muscle, they look fantastic as opposed to the 2 hanging cow-teats at the end of P1

Andrea - way to go with that long bike ride!! How did your legs feel after. So glad to hear that you are enjoying your bike. Good for you for getting on top of the reboot and it will come off. How's the knee?
Beth - those are some serious miles you are logging in running! I love that you are doing it with your DH. Are you working towards a specific race goal?
Liana - lol grieving the loss of boobs. So true.
Vachinyc - great work on your reboot. I need to start logging everything. I'll have to check out the BMR link as well
I'm still working on a reboot 5 more to go and then phase off. Would like to be more successful in the next 6 moths than the last and maintain off less of diet food.

crashtested, you are funny! Yeah, boobs, lol. I went from a 36C to a 32D so not a huge loss of size, just sort of a redistribution - they aren't as full on top as they used to be. Part of that is probably age too, . I have long muscle bellies and don't get compact/bulkier muscles (more a rangier sort of build) so lifting doesn't change much for me unfortunately. I used to lift and train others as well, but haven't for the past 6 years as it is too painful. I did enjoy it then, and wish I still could but every time I give it a retry I am limited by my grip (for upper body), and I already get enough lower body resistance training other ways.
I had a lovely Indian buffet last night and I'm proud that I avoided the fluffy basmati, the dahl and channa masala, and the potatoes part of the aloo gobi, sticking with the cauliflower part, and with palak paneer, and an amazing hybrid dish of salmon in a vegetable and light curry sauce, and a bit of butter chicken without a lot of sauce. Lots of food though, two platefuls, lol. With Indian food, it's always a fight between my tummy (please, NO MORE ROOM DOWN HERE!) and my mouth (but OH IT TASTES SOOOO GOOD, let's have more!)
Tip for the week.... do not wear the stretchy pants to the buffet, lol.
Liana

Hi ladies,
Reboot started yesterday. It's going pretty well so far.
Isn't 500 the magic number for posts to a thread? I don't have any idea how to start a new one. Anyone else know how?
Jenny: The knees are doing pretty well. We went from floods (can't ride bike) to 100 degree weather (can't ride bike) so there's that. I got in one evening ride but it makes me nervous riding in the dark. Even with a light. I too would like to be less dependent on protein bars and shakes in maintenance. I guess we'll figure it out eventually.
Liana: That buffet looks amazing. You did a great job controlling yourself. I don't know that I would be so disciplined.
