Super nervous, can't calm my nerves with wine, and on top of that, not sure if I can eat anything there. Bringing a Quest bar just in case, and planning to drink seltzer all night. Wish me luuuuuuck... DX

Hey Shark: Make a quick call to the hotel or caterer hosting the event and let them know you are on a medical diet protocol and need to have lean meat or fish or shellfish and vegetables with no butter or toppings. They can quite often accommodate you. I had to do this all the time at my previous job because I cannot have any gluten. The restaurants bent over backwards and were very discrete about it and even provided GF dessert (not that you will be needing that, lol).
As for the open bar, get the bartender to make you a Mockjito with soda water, lime juice (NOT 'bar lime'), and mint. (or just sneak Mio in your purse, lol)

Larn37, I've not 'cheated'.....this time (I'm on a reboot)....but I've been there and I know it is a slippery slope! Put that behind you, don't let it get into your head (no 'if only's, no 'well, I've already messed up, so....", no "I'm so MAD at myself....") - just take a deep breath and move forward. You have not gained, you still lost.....you are still on your journey, so drop all of that and continue on the path without looking back. Get back into it full swing and feel GREAT about yourself. Look how great you've been doing! 18lbs down, that's AWESOME! So don't negate all you have accomplished, but resolve instead to build upon that and make it to your goal. I am finding it exhilarating that I know I am on a program that can actually get me to my goal (as long as I follow it!), and that elusive goal has been the carrot I've been chasing for 30+ years. I'll tell you, if you are still young (and to me, anyone who still deals with TOM I consider a young'un :) ), I can't stress enough for you to try to get your weight under control NOW! It not only becomes harder, the older you get, but if you are like me, and your weight holds you back either emotionally or physically, you are missing out on really living your life. So, devote yourself and the next few or several months to getting your weight to a healthy level, and you will NEVER regret it! Talk about 'return on investment'! Tell yourself "I WILL DO THIS!" - Say it every morning when you rise, every night when you end your day successful, and in between, as often as you need to stave off temptation. Stay the course, you've got this!!

Thank you so much for the positive words and encouragement. I needed to hear. I am still working hard and pushing forward, just feel the scale is not moving any... We shall see this coming monday.

Thanks for the tips, Liana!

It was buffet style at Dave & Busters, and they had a roast chicken I peeled the skin off of. Nothing else was OP, but I wasn't even a little tempted by the spread! And my seltzer and lemon was delicious!

And I won a door prize! That $100 is gonna pay for a lot of vegetables! :D
