So far I am doing well. I do feel hungry at times that may be because I am eating enough. As advised by the coach I end up 4 packets of IP.

We can absolutely survive our first day guys!!!
I have a gum after a meal if im really having a hard time. I have xyitol gum. Coach said one a day. Its sold in the pharmacys, usually you have to ask its always close to the counter. Sometimes i had two for thoughs tough days. I figure a gum with one or two carbs is better then going off the deep end.

Spry Gum is allowed (in moderation of course - so 5 or 6 pieces a day is out, lol) as are all those UNLIMITED raw veggies, hot flavourful herbal teas

Use 'em when you need 'em. You don't get extra (carb-free) brownie points for doing without, lol.
Keep on plan this week everybody, you are doing great!

The spry gum now comes in about six different flavours, too. You can pick it up at the Vitamin Shoppe next to the checkout counter, or buy it online from them (sometimes they do bulk pack deals).

If you prefer an "After Dinner" mint to freshen the mouth, they have the peppermints and the berry mints. All at 1 or less carb.

First day for me too! So far, so good but the water is drowning me! I have a 24 oz bottle waiting in the car for the ride home. That one will put me over the top for today's quota. I do have a mild headache though. I'm thinking it's the lack of caffeine.

The first week can be the hardest, yet most rewarding when you do your first weigh in and see the scale moving down.
Good luck!

rsach312 - how are you doing? I just started IP yesterday so today is only day 2 for me .... sorting through these foods trying to determine which packs are good and which are not are the worst so far. I did enjoy the chicken noodle soup, kind of liked the oatmeal and broccoli soup but disliked the pineapple/banana drink and vanilla pudding.

TOgden3 - I am doing well so far. I am on day 11 and lost 8 lbs in my first week. I would lying if I say I followed it complete 100% but I will take it.

I am splitting my protein between lunch and dinner. So, it is getting better day by day.

First few days are difficult and then it gets easier.

THATS GREAT!!!!

I am wrapping up day 3 and although the program is easy to follow I am just sifting through the foods ... I LOVED the cappucino drink today and this evening for dinner I made rutabaga fries which are actually delicious .... everyday is a new day.
