If you aren't sure of your frame size, this chart will help - best to use the elbow epicondyle measurements as that never changes whatever weight you are at. Frame size helps determine where you fall in the healthy range for your height.
https://www.myfooddiary.com/resource...calculator.asp The wrist measurement is easier, but for anyone significantly overweight, their fingers and wrists will be thicker than their normal weight measures are. If you are fairly close to goal, wrist measure works OK. Find a weight you think you might be comfortable at and see how easy it is to maintain it for a couple months, given your exercise/activity lifestyle. Are you comfortable and healthy at that weight without struggling? |
Thank you Canadjineh
I found out that I have a medium build. So I an going to put a goal weight in the middle.Since my range is 132 to 101 that would be 116.5 which means I would have a loss of 101 pounds. I hope to use 120 is my rumble strip as Dr. Wilkinson says. So I am committed to lose another 24 pounds or so. Thanks for the help.

My goal
I put 125 down because I want to start Phase 2 then. What I want to see every morning when I weight my self is 115. I will weight more at IP because I weigh in in the early evening so now I have a plan. 30 weeks and I am going to do it.

New to thread
Started IP August 26th.
I have lost 17 lbs to date in the 5 weeks. Things seem to be slowing down...was only down 1lb and 1 inch this week....suggestions? |

Weight loss is NOT linear. It's not going to be a steady drop at the same rate. Your body adjusts along the way, it's TOTALLY normal to have a few big drops followed by smaller losses. The only time you need to start examining things is when you have gone several weeks with no change in weight or measurements. THAT is a true stall. As long as the scale is moving in the right direction, you're all set :) |
I'm a newbie! I started August 3 and am down 20lbs and 12.5 inches. A little disappointed with my last two WIs as lost 1lb each week, but trying to stay positive and hope I get a visit from the whoosh fairy soon.

2nd Weigh In Tomorrow...
Well it's been 12 full days since I started on IP and on my home scales I'm down 13.1 lbs. Everything has been going quite smoothly. I haven't had any of the dreaded headaches that people have talked about. My bowels are also 'moving' well. But today I do feel a bit sluggish. I've learned from some of your posts that this is normal in the first 2 or 3 weeks on plan.
I'm not sure if I should still be posting on this thread..I know it's really just for those who introduce themselves. I'm finding it a bit confusing on how to get around on the boards. Is there a thread that I should actually be posting my losses/journey on? |
