UCONN men won last night and move forward to the Sweet 16 and the UCONN women play tonight. Was able to clean up the garden and uncover the first blooms of spring- snow drops. We are heading back to freezing temps and possible snow on Tues., so I am trying to enjoy the the Madness of March.
My guys won, too. An elite eight meeting is in sight!
Hey Lisa, I watched your guys play too. I am a little March Madness obsessed since I am still trying to get rid of my bronchitis. My voice comes and goes so I have limited my talking this weekend and increased my basketball viewing.
Want2b- Welcome back! Ditto on what Steph said, we'd never hate or judge you got going off plan. That's great that you and your husband got right back on track after vacation. I agree with Steph that life happens and different events come up where we might veer off track a little, but the important thing is to get right back on track. I'm sure it felt better to do that after being away.
Scottysgirl- Congrats on your loss! As far as the clothes go, the losses will keep happening, so cheap is the way to go. I have bought some nice tops, but they're size medium and should still fit (just looser) when I hit goal.
I've enjoyed reading everyone's personal reflections on body image. I feel like this whole weight loss journey brings up lots of issues that we didn't have to think about when we were heavier. I feel like all of the attention from others can be too intense sometimes. It's weird constantly feeling like others are assessing me. Most people are very complimentary, but didn't their mothers teach them it's not nice to stare? Sometimes I get anxious from the attention and other times I appreciate the compliments. I think I mostly appreciate compliments from friends who have supported me throughout this journey and aren't just being voyeuristic and nosey.
I'm with Slipfree that I am doing this for health reasons and looking good in cute clothes is a bonus. I still don't love how I look without clothes, but I'm way happier with my body than when I was 244 lbs (my heaviest). I think exercise will definitely help tone me up. I'm a little concerned about having saggy boobs, but I'd much rather have saggy boobs than diabetes or other health problems.
As far as the weekend goes, I've been so lazy except for some cleaning. I'm really engrossed in the second Game of Thrones book and I have been catching up on TV as well. I need to do some shopping for groceries and house stuff today, so I'll get out later. This book is just so addicting!
Scottysgirl---congrats on your wi. Kmart Kohls Walmart have cheap clothes until we level out to a more stable weight. I found a lot of basic stuff at kmart.
Thanx! Yeah, I'm probably going to hit up one of those stores. I've tried the pants over at KMart with no luck so hopefully, Walmart or Target will be a better fit. Our bookkeeper at my job gave me a $20 gift card to Kohl's for Christmas, so I might just head over there today and see what I can find...
I have laryngitis. Not sure why. I had minor sniffles for a couple of days and then this voice thing started.
I'm kind of in the same boat as you. Friday afternoon I came down with a scratchy throat, and it won't go away I sound like a guy right now... LOL! My nose was somewhat stuffy, but that's cleared up. I'm hoping it's just allergies, as it is that time of year...
Tonight has been a hungry night. Have had to work all night to resist eating more. It is TOM, so that explains the cravings. I am off to make some cinnamon tea. Can't go to sleep, my Huskies are playing. Makes me appreciate all the times when it is not hard to stay OP.

That happened to me last night. If I am starving at night, I will usually have a hard boiled egg or one of the lower calorie/carb packets like the orange drink. I don't do it often, but if I am starving, I'd rather have something small than get a headache. Hope you're enjoying the game.
Thanks Kooky! UCONN won watching Arizona and Gonzaga. Have family that attended both schools. Family rivalry. Should be going to bed soon, but basketball rules.

I went to bed. Have to be 100% at work for kids
A meeting is getting closer! Spartans need to knockoff a #1. Been done before. My team was #1 earlier in the season, prior to injuries in 3/5 of our starters. They're on a mission now that they're healthy.
Much better day today! Finally feeling better and I no longer feel hungry. Changed up my IP food, usually eat my restricted in the A.M. but switched it to late afternoon. Just want something sweet later in the day, which was bringing on cravings.
Snow expected here mid week, BOO!
How are all of you? Are any of you struggling with cravings? Do you have hungrier days?
Back to the office job today, only working 4 hours a day this week, which is fine with me. Still trying to get back in the swing of things after vacay. But it feels really good to be back OP eating wise. Good to know that I can go on a vacation for a week and get right back OP, and it feels good to be back. The longer I am on this eating lifestyle the mire I really feeling like this time around the weight loss is going to stick. Such a good feeling.
Slip: Yes I have hungrier days, usually the week before TOM, but this month it was 2 weeks before, not sure what was up with that. I am trying to figure out if it has anything to do with my running days, or it was just a couple of hungry days. As for cravings I don't usually have them, I really try to stay focused on my goal and look at what I CAN have and not at what I can't have. If I start looking at what I can't have I get depressed at all the things I love but can't, and then I tell myself "you have lost weight and deserve a treat" and then have it. Not a good thing at all.
Want2b- I was craving a restricted, lol. Boy, have things changed. I do not even think of off program food. Although, I do miss pizza every once in a while.
I made a delish dinner tonight- new pork tenderloin recipe: WF apple butter, low sodium soy sauce, apple cider vinegar poured over pork. Topped the pork with dried shallots and baked. Also, made turnip fries and sliced cucumbers. Filling, savory and yummy.
I get hungry during the week because I get up at 5 to have my coffee and quiet time before work. I'll sip my IP drink around 5:30 or 6, which makes me hungry at around 9. I usually eat my restricted then or a hard boiled egg or two. It depends on what I eat for lunch, but I am usually really hungry for dinner at 5. I think splitting my dinner protein between lunch and dinner would help. I've done that a few times and I think I remember it helping.
Slipfree- sounds like a yummy dinner! I still haven't made turnip fries...need to try those.
I have been so busy and stress getting headaches this past week. I saw doctor today and she reminded my to listen to my body. I have been trying to be everything for everyone. Doctor actually gave me a prescription for a massage! I have decided to purchase once a week a ready made chicken from the grocery store. We will eat it for supper and I will have some left over chicken to add to my chicken cream soup (IP) or the Chicken al a king (IP). I will also have eggs for supper - the kids get toast and fried wieners as a treat! Keep of the good work out there to my fellow IP mom's. I know my little twins are one good reason I am losing weight. Looking for some support and love!
