Day 2 down and did really well. A friend of mine made dinner for me tonight and did her best to make it IP friendly. I think I will make what she did but control what goes in it much more... something to tinker with. Taco soup.... more to come. But got all my water in and am sorting out 1 month of supplements tonight to be all prepped.

Make it GO.AWAY (the cough, that is)

Aww Lisa, get better soon - that's just miserable! I was lucky - felt bad and coughing for a couple of days and then it went away. I'd give you a hug if I wasn't afraid of germs! :D

Tigerlvr - I have been a control freak the whole time I have been on IP when it comes to cooking. Fortunately my friends and family have been totally supportive and let me bring my own food or lurk in their kitchens when we go over. Dh has a great handle on what I can and can't eat and does a great job of cooking (love that man!). I won't always be this rigid but right now I'm on a mission to reclaim myself!

Ruth Ann looking at your ticker, being a control freak has served you well!!

I was deathly ill yesterday so only had one and a half packets and some chicken. Because I didn't have an unrestricted I allowed myself some lemon squeezed in my hot drinks. I feel a little better today (still not going to work) so hope to get all my food in.

Ruth Ann 01-15-2014 08:30 AM

Hiker: Hope you feel better soon! That's miserable to be sick just when you moved but hang in there and don't overdo.

And, yes, being a control freak has done me well so far (like the grammar?). I weigh in today and don't think I'll hit the -100 lb mark this week but maybe the next. Yikes! I have to admit to watching the scale a little more closely than usual as I get closer to that milestone. Although I know the scale weight is only one measure, it's still exciting!

Thanks Hiker and thanks for the broccoli! And who'd have thought 8.5 months ago I would be looking forward to stepping on a scale?

lisa32989 01-15-2014 08:47 AM

Ruth Ann
I hope you DO hit it!
It broke my heart to take my p1 break so close to my own 100 lb mark but the plateau wasn't budging. I'm hoping I get there this month!!!

Thanks Lisa! And I'm crossing my fingers and toes for you - funny what our bodies decide to do, isn't it? You've had such a great attitude through all the problems you've had - it's time for your body to cooperate!

Ruth Ann - sending you good vibes that you break the 100 lb mark today. :carrot:

ColoradoCarol 01-15-2014 09:19 AM

Back to my normal weigh in day today (had to switch it over the holidays due to my coach being on an extended vacation).

Hopefully changing up my food, moving back to Wednesday and continuing to follow the plan 100% OP, will bring back the good "mo jo".

Happy Wednesday all.

I never thought I would look forward to stepping on a scale, either. Isn't life strange? Hope you hit that 100 pound mark and really celebrate in some appropriate way.

Lisa - hope you feel better soon. Don not like to think of you suffering....

Thanks schenectady! Hadn't really thought about the celebration - just knowing I did it will be a huge affirmation for me! Knowing that I really do have the discipline and willpower to take control is such a huge achievement for me!

And I'm one pound closer!!!!! So excited!
