I'll hopefully be back soon, my last final is today, and I have to finish a paper for my capstone class, and then I'm free for about a month! Yay!
Yay for too big clothes!

Hi I have been lurking for sometime now and decided to say hello. I have just started week 3 on IP diet and am feeling great, I have lost 8.3 pounds so far and find my energy level has hit the roof, I hope it stays that way. If I can make it through the holidays I think I will be able to hit goal.. I tried the LA weight loss program 5 years ago and kept the weight off for 4 years and then gained almost all of it back in the last year, so I need to learn to eat right all over again. Thank you to everyone for the awesome info on this forum.

Welcome nettie and good going on your loss!

If you go to "quick links" and "edit signature" I think you can just change the numbers in your ticker there.

I did LA WL as well and was quite successful. I regained because of medicine I was put on for Graves Disease. I find this somewhat similar although more strict, which actually works well for me.

Good morning all, woke up with terrible TOM cramps. Yuck. Hope it isn't a foreshadow of how my day is going to be. Good thing I planned on Big Mac in a bowl for dinner. Shepherd's Pie for everyone else.

mmm... comfort food! Love it, especially on these blustery days. You may have just inspired my dinner choice

Day full of meetings.... catered. Other people cooking my food is such a temptation for me - it doesn't even matter if it's any good At least there is always salad!

Have a great day everyone!

Morning all. Didnt sleep well at all last night I watched the season finale of SOA and it was so intense I think it made me anixous. Had a fight with Katie this morning because she's not wearing her retainer. All the money spent on braces and she's not doing what she's supposed to . Dang kids! Anyway

Been 100% since Sunday after falling off the tracks a bit over the weekend. Feeling pretty good that I'll make the 20 by Xmas challenge and hit my 50 lb mini goal. Thinking of taking a break and maintaining for a few weeks after that.
I haven't completely made up my mind. I'm scared of phasing off, and going completely insane with my food choices. I keep looking at my ticker knowing it's only 19 lbs and then I say no I want to move that to 120 so it's 29lbs but I don't do it... Any wise words from you Jedi Masters?

"Dang Kids!" is a polite description of how they sometimes behave and make us feel. Parenting is such a joy and struggle all rolled into one. Good luck!

It's so great you will make the 20 by Xmas and your mini goal!! Such a hard thing this time of year. You Rock!!

Hi everyone. I have had a tough time since thanksgiving. I am "OP" most of the time, no purposeful cheats, but too much protein, not enough veggies and not getting in my third packet every day has left me at a stall. Thankfully not a gain, but not moving up or down very far. I came very prepared today, but it is 10 and I am already hungry! Ugh. I need to be back to 100% and get moving on the losses again. I did however have an NSV and bought a size medium dress this weekend! I had a hard time accepting that it fit me as I am used to being an XL or L esp on the bottom half of me.

Deana509 - how proud we all are of your continued successes and obvious dedication to making this IP program work. I cannot imagine how challenging that is to do at college where much of your day is not necessarily in your control.

lilkel244 - I read your post today and knew exactly what you were talking about as that was me for an extended stretch. I finally just put my foot down and told myself to get ONE day perfect, 100%. I literally had to tell myself "now go eat this" "go refill the water bottle", almost like retraining my brain.

Then do that again and after a few days it is easier and when the weight begins to go back down, it has its own sort of reward and pleasure that makes being 100% easier. Hang in there and go hour by hour to get back on track.

nolasmurf - glad to see that you are going to make the Christmas challenge. You and I are about the same distance from that and from the 50 pound mark - I am at -45 and 15 of the 20 Christmas pounds gone. I desperately want to make both of those goals by Christmas day.

My husband and I went to a business dinner function last night and I was so afraid of not holding 100%. I ate a huge salad before I left with shrimp in the lettuce so that I was filled up.

How delighted I was that when I got there, the bartender was happy to keep me unending glasses of Perrier and lime. The buffet had huge spreads of roasted veggies - cauliflower, broccoli, two squashes, eggplant, etc. Next to that was lots of salad so I was in heaven. Passed up all the lovely stuff even after my husband was begging me to try the delicious lasagna. Walked right by the dessert table and asked my husband to get my coffee from that table to that I would not be tempted.

Down another pound from yesterday so I feel good. And yes, I AM weighing every day because I am finally back to 100% after many weeks off and I need to keep absolute tight track of how I am being successful to get my mind back on the rewards of this program.

Is your daughter suppose to wear it all day or just at night? My son is to wear it all day but he just wears it at night and it's been fine. I think the best advise about phasing off is not to worry about it to the time comes. It's a process you have to go though, phase 2& 3 so you will figure it out slowly. Ten pounds is a big difference. I coudn't maintain my lowest weight. It had to be 5 lbs up. Good Luck and stay chill

Hello all I am so excited I had my second weigh in since I started on 11-13-13 and I am down a total of 20 pounds since I started on Ideal Protein. I am so pumped and I am eager to see the little goals I set for myself get achieved. I am starting to exercise 2 x's a day and I think that is really helping me. I need to keep shocking my system so it knows I want the fat to go away. My coach was so excited and said imagine what you can accomplish in a couple more months.
I really appreciate all of you on this site. It definately makes this journey easier.
