We can all do it. If we dont.....think what the alternative is.

Wooohooo luccilove!!! Congrats and I feel the same way about cheating.

Hey everyone, congrats on all the great weighing this week! Mine is on Friday and it's great motivation to stay on plan.

I had lunch at Fogo de Chao today (Brazilian steakhouse in dy MPLS). Although I definitely ate more than 8 oz of meet, and a fair amount of it was good red meat (so prolly not too lean) it was so satisfying. I felt better than I have in a long time (physically and mentally) so maybe I needed some good protein. I avoided all the starches and good cheeses too, so all in all I feel really good about today. I just ate some salad tonight and feel great. Off to bed for another day...

So excited! I was able to put my wedding ring back on!

That is awesome! I also am wearing my 10 year band, that I have not worn in years. It feels great doesn't it?

Nice! I was thrilled when I was able to get mine on comfortabley a couple of weeks ago. My hubby gets down when he seems me without it but it felt so claustrophobic for so long.

mvngmntns13- I just finished week 4 and I am definitely hungry again this week. Water, herbal tea and pickles have helped.

Emsmom- travel for the holidays is tough. Is there anyway you could ask for your veggies clean?

Yep...already "warned" my mom to have lots of salad for me. I'm bringing my IP foods with me so it is only dinner to worry about. But, I will volunteer to take over for my mom so she doesn't have to cater to us while we are there. That way hubby and I can cook and I can stay 100% OP. Planning ahead is really helping me.

Smilysweetpea - you said you have only lost 10 pounds so far on this diet with a few cheats. I am jealous. I started a day after you, my only cheat was a half a bottle of Bud Select and I have only lost 10 pounds. Relatively speaking, you are doing great! It also appears with your current height and weight, you may not have all that much weight to spare and it may just take a bit longer?

Thanks ButtBgone! I just had a weak day! You are totally right....It may just take me a bit longer....slower fat loss is better than no loss!

Well, since I started on October 2nd, I've officially made it a month, and proud to say at today's weigh-in, I am down 17 lbs in that time! Although the loss this week is slowing a bit (2lbs), I'll definately take it! Definately motivating to keep this up and not indulge in the cheats that provide only temporary satisfaction!

Wow! Thats amazing!!! Good for you Sally! :carrot: Happy dance time!

Yep Kelsey you do get drunk wayyyyy faster! I can usually drink alot of Rye & cokes...not braggin!..lol But one of my cheats was Vodka (which I heard was one of the better choices on this diet) with water and lemon wedge....and I was feelin pretty good after that 1 drink so of coarse I had another...lol Needless to say I was in bed at 10 on Friday night and felt like I had been partying til 2am :^: :o

Good morning all! Just back from weigh in. Down 1.8 pounds. A bit disappointed, but overall I'm now down 18 pounds....in just under 1 month. I guess I can't complain, but it's so frustrating to only lose 1.8 pounds this week when I've been 100% OP the entire time. Hopefully next week will be a bit better on the scale.

mvngmntns13 11-05-2013 01:19 PM

emsmom97 - 18 lbs in one month is incredible!

I am worried my weight loss is stalling because I am right around where I usually am and have been for years. Has this happened to anyone? Didn't lose any weight in the last week despite being on plan.

exesparz 11-05-2013 01:48 PM

Hi everyone. I started IP on the 25th and on my 3rd week right now. I have actually been doing really well in IP. I'm two weeks I have lost almost 10lbs. I thought I was going to struggle but I haven't. My motivation has that my doctor told me I'm order to have the possibility if having a baby I must lose weight. I lost 20lbs before I started IP and was stuck. I am really hopefully to reach my goal weight with a doctor that actually follows yup on me.

Lots of great Wi's and NSV's! Congrats to you all!

As far as cheat days go, I try to remind myself that a cheat day is more like a cheat 3 or 4 days. I was very nauseous during the first week on the diet, and the thought of kicking myself out of ketosis and having to go through that again just for a few minutes of something savory isn't worth it to me. But to each his own, or her own, since it looks like I'm the only guy in the group (didn't notice that till I was already too involved to leave, hope its ok with everyone that I stick around :)

As far as the holidays go, I'll do my best to stay OP. I'd suggest trying something that is still OP but you haven't tried before. Make a dish on this website or out of the cookbook that is new to you. It may not be mashed potatoes and gravy, but it could be a welcomed new taste to treat your taste buds. Good luck this week!
