Happy Tuesday!! Getting excited to leave for Thanksgiving tomorrow evening. Doing my color this morning and packing before working until 8:30 tonight. I hope everyone has a great OP day!!

Soo I got called into work for the holidays on when I usually meet with my coach/the clinic is only open like 12 hours a week so I can not go this week and have run out of food. Was thinking of getting off IP and onto a low carb/counting calorie anyway. A little nervous to gain because I am not phasing off but going to keep the same ideals as the diet so hoping I can avoid that by joining the gym. Wish me luck!

Good Luck Kelsey! There is a TON of alternative info on here!

Weigh In YIPEE!!!!!!

Drumroll please??!?! Sooo my WI today totally shocked me.. But in a GOOD way. I donated 11.4lbs this week!!!!!! Which pushes me over 50lbs donated, and I'm only 4lbs away from my first goal that I set for myself. :carrot::woohoo::cheer2:

Thank you ALL for sticking with me and being so supportive when I was in my slump last week. What a difference 7 days makes! I lost 8lbs of retained water weight, 2lbs of sugar/water in the muscle, and another 1.4 of body fat. Only "down" side was my coach told me I'm slightly dehydrated, but he also said that there's physically no way I could remain hydrated while losing 10lbs of water from your body. I could not do this and be so successful without all of the support I have here, through my family, and my coaches at WNL.

Only 3.4lbs to go to make my Christmas Challenge of 60lbs donated.. chugging along..

's for all!

OnMyway, I live in Niantic on the coast.

People in my life are supportive but they do not want to hear about the daily process of this program. And it is on my mind a lot. I am grateful for all the IP posters, especially the Oct. Newbies for helping me stay on track and focused.

We're in this battle together!

Kawaii, you ROCK!! So happy for you!! Keep going strong :)

You guys, this is such a great group. I'm so happy we all "met" each other. I hope you're all doing well. Keep up the great work. My loss was small this week but I'm less than 15 from goal which makes me happy. And people have started to really notice and have been complimenting me.

My husband was diagnosed with flu today and has taken tamiflu. I didn't get a flu shot this year ( I did today but it takes 2 weeks to become fully active) and I'm really kicking myself now. Praying I don't get sick right before Thanksgiving.

Have a great OP day friends.

airportchick11 11-26-2013 04:19 PM

Yay Kawaii!! That is soooo awesome!!!

Wantanewme: I read somewhere that when you are worried about getting the flu, you are to say several times a day " I sure hope so n so doesn't get the flu"! Never put your name out there! :) hey, every little bit helps!

Slipfree 11-26-2013 05:39 PM

Wantanewme- Only 15 pounds! Now that is exciting. You will be there in no time.
Hope all our supplements have boosted your immune systems.

Hope everything works out Kelsey!

Airportchick- you must be excited about showing off your progress. Hope the time at work passes quickly.

Kawaii- yahoo!!!!!!!! :woohoo: I knew you could do it!

I am exhausted but those dang landmark projects are done! Half day of school tomorrow. The refinance was completed today. This has been a long November!

claustin 11-26-2013 07:02 PM

I have so much energy today, or maybe its the fear of being tempted so I am keeping myself busy haha but whatever it is, my whole house got a good cleaning today. I feel better today. It was a good day. My brain still goes to the "not allowed" food when I start to get hungry but I grab a bottle of water instead. That is a big accomplishment considering this past weekend! I switched it up today and had my supper for lunch. It has kept me full longer then when I eat supper at supper (if that sentence makes sense lol) I will have my lunch packet and veggies now for supper.

Hoping for another 100% OP day tomorrow! Wends are so busy for me and my eating schedule gets all thrown out of whack. I am famished by 11!! I usually have a bottle of water at 7:30 then breakfast at 8:30 and 2 more bottles of water from then till 1, lunch at 1 with a bottle of water, 2 more bottles from 1-5 and then my supper (and water if I'm thirsty) but on wends. I leave my house at 7:30 and don't get home till 11:30 so I have my breakfast at 7-7:30. By 10 I am so hungry!!! Tomorrow I will try my normal routine and warm my hot choc. at the school around 9. It might help me stay on schedule...anyway, enough rambling. Hope you all have a fantastic night

Hello All,
Claustin, I was with you in spirit when you were in the doldrums last week. I'm glad to read your having a better week. I'm finally getting time to catch up with everyone's doings!

OMG, Kawaii that's a huge weightloss! Way to go.

Airportchick and slipfree, good to read your posts, too.

Okay so this week I lost .4 pounds (ummmmm, what's this about? Who knows but I'm not gonna worry about right now, if I keep OP the scale is eventually going to read something waaaaay better;)

The four day break is going to be fantastic. I'm doing nothing. Cracker Barrel is making Thanksgiving (I will be eating OP, but I can eat the turkey and the turnip greens). Go me! I just took the hassle out of Thanksgiving with time to take a nap AND clean the the grout in my shower.

I'm getting vegetable weary. I've had enough mashed cauliflower, zucchini noodles, broccoli, lettuce. Alright let me rephrase -- I've had enough with the massive effort of making the vegetables. Every week I buy five heads of cauliflower, two heads of broccoli, fifteen zucchini. My partner loves the way I'm making vegetables so he's eating them as well -- and then it leaves me short for the week. I just want to be lazy. I'd much rather read a cookbook about the wonderful ways of cooking vegetable than actually cooking the vegetables. Does anyone have any lazy vegetable days? What do you do? :)

Happy Thanksgiving all! You keep me motivated.

wantanewme 11-26-2013 08:55 PM

On my lazy veggie days I eat raw broccoli or cut a cucumber in half and sprinkle with salt.

wantanewme 11-26-2013 08:55 PM

I also like cutting up some tomato, cucumber, and scallions and tossing with a little bit of vinegar or lemon juice, olive oil, and salt.

Slipfree 11-26-2013 09:05 PM

Hey Tingstar,

My lazy veggies are mushrooms, celery, radishes, and Boston lettuce.

Tonight, I made scallops for the first time. I sautéed them in a little garlic olive oil, removed the scallops. Added a little low sodium nf chicken broth, lime juice, paprika, and dried shallots, and little dried basil. Added the scallops back in, added mushroom. Cooked for a couple more minutes then added fresh spinach just long enough to wilt it. Turned out good! Would never know it was healthy.
