You are so right Sally! It will all be worth it to be healthier and happier in my body. The timing to do this couldn't be better for me too, so I am taking the opportunity to put my health first and get back to a happier weight/body. Weekends can be a little challenging, but we just have to remind ourselves that this is just temporary and the results will be so worth it!

Hi everyone,

Better day today. Spoke with my coach about how I was feeling. My frustration was based on seeing things slow down even though I have been completely OP and watching others slip and still having great weigh ins.(I am happy for those people, just want to understand the reason for me) she explained the science behind staying OP and letting the pancreas rest. For now, I am okay.

On Sun., we are going to one of my favorite restaurants in New Haven. (A farm to table gourmet.) There are food choices on the menu that I can have- after removing all the good stuff! I will persevere, but my inner brat is cranky about staying on program.

Todays WI- down 4 pounds( two week weigh ins). I am happy with the loss since the scale had barely moved at the beginning of this week. 21 inches gone in 6 weeks. Time for me to tell my inner brat to shut up :;):

Great job! My inner brat chimes in at least once a day, but quiets down when I think about this being a very short time period in my life. This is the best diet I've ever done with the quick results, not feeling hungry, increased energy, and not having to prepare a lot of food. I feel privileged to be able to afford to do this, since it's not cheap. All of the gourmet, rich meals (and wine for me) can wait. It's tough though when other people around you are enjoying those things now. Wishing you strength for those inner brat times!

Slip free, you are doing great by the way! We started at similar weights and i hope I can get results like you're getting. I'm almost finished with my first month and I'm down almost 14 lbs. So here's to staying on plan even though it royally sucks sometimes and reaching our goals, so that we can have our occasional splurges on rich meals with fabulous wine!

Week 6 for me. You live in a great area for wine! First two weeks for me, were difficult with really bad headaches. Weeks 3-4 were a breeze, tons of energy and no hunger. Weeks 5&6, hungrier and tired. Hoping weeks 7&8 are easier. Either way, I am sticking to it. 20 pounds by Christmas:D.

Ooh...thanks for the heads up about the coming weeks. Part of what has contributed to my weight gain has been moving to this area 4 years ago and I did a lot of food/wine tourism around here and in Paso Robles and Napa a couple of times! It was fun, but definitely overindulgent because I gained 60 lbs!! Now I'm used to living here and I'm trying to focus more on enjoying the non-food/wine parts of the area. I've got a ton of great wine aging in my closet to bring out for my future self and friends/family. It's a big adjustment though because a lot of events here either center around or feature really good food and/or wine. Good thing it's winter and there is less going on. I do have an upcoming work Christmas party at a really nice local winery/restaurant. Gritting my teeth a little about surviving that one!

Slipfree. I am having same issues as u. Last 3 days super super tired no energy and some headaches. Felt dizzy. Not like me to feel this. Not sure why in later weeks. I have been doing so well. I also feel like I gained weight. We will see on Monday. I am also nervous about thanksgiving. I leave next Thur for about 11days. I already shipped all my food, blender, and salt to my parents house

Luccilove- so nice to know that it is not just me! I am so proud of you for planning ahead for your holiday. It all seems like a bit of a hassle, but we are worth every bit of the white knuckled effort. Just think how cute we are going to look by Christmas!

Sally4397 how did you get the signature to work, and how are you going to get the ticker to show up, are you clear on this, or do they just show up. I also started Oct 20,2013.:?:

Hi all! I've been amazed that my chocolate cravings are extinct! I used to hit the vending machine or raid my coworker's Dove chocolate stash...and still not satisfied and feeling anxious, I'd head back for another! I knew the cravings were gone when we went out for late night "drinks" and I was perfectly happy with a decaf coffee which I sipped with a spoon...I do miss my wine but I will be able to indulge at my niece's wedding on 1/4/14. I CAN DO THIS :)
