Good morning all! WI is this morning and am hoping for some good news. Yesterday wasn't exactly the best day in the world (my younger brothers colon cancer has spread and is now in his lungs, so yeah...not a good day) but I did not deviate from plan. This is a true success for me. In the past, anything would derail me, but this time, I decided I needed to stay focused and get healthy. Hopefully the scale at the doctors office is nice to me. I could use some cheering up.

Will check in when I get back. Have a great morning!!!!

Hey Claustin! I too am getting bored. I put 2C spinach in a blender with the pre made peach mango, a little crushed ice and hit blend. It was so stinking good and will definitely buy me a few more days of lunches since it is quick and easy. Pre make some, throw into a freezer mason jar and grab one out in the morning and it's good for lunch. I know it's not super exciting but like I said, it's quick and good and I get my veggies in without making another dreaded salad. Quite frankly, I get sick of chewing!!

The only drink mix I like is the chocolate one. And I only like it warmed. I feel like all I eat is soup. I miss chewing haha. I have a hot choc. every morning for breakfast, and either broccoli Cheese or Chicken noodle soup for lunch with my 2 cups of either Broccoli, Cauliflower or Jicama thrown in. I ate like this for 5 weeks with no problem but now I cant make it thru one straight week. But I feel like I have a better frame of mind yesterday and today. I don't feel like cheating, and I haven't even thought about other food really. I think what works for me is eating my "normal" meal for lunch. Yesterday's meal order kept me fuller longer and I wasnt as hungry at supper or had any cravings going to bed. My husband is working nights so we eat "Supper" at 3. Which seems to be working for me. I think today Im going to try the Big Mac in a Bowl and see how that goes over. Then I can have my chicken soup and veggies for supper before bed. Something light but filling. We'll see I guess.

 Sorry to hear about your brother. But Congratulations on staying on plan and in a good frame of mind! Stress can be a huge food trigger.

I hope you hear some good news from your weigh in. Its amazing the feeling you get when you see your hard work paying off. Its like a warm fuzzy sense of pride and accomplishment :D

emsmom97-congrats on the loss! Excellent

So I had my first bad experience last night - not sure if it was IP related or bad seafood or low blood sugar. Had seafood for dinner and then for my snack I tried the new Brownie. Maybe 40 mins later I just felt really weird and told my husband I think I am going to throw up and I did 4xs. Then I was very cold and couldnt handle noise or lights.

My husband thinks it is the seafood-2 types of crabs-we both had some cod. Never had a low blood sugar issue but it was 80 and then 77 at 2amish. Then I thought I had a bad reaction to the brownie??

I feel better today but really dont feel like eating veggies. Really want just some Matzo Ball soup but cant. Had the oatmeal for breakfast with some ice tea-so far I am ok.

Has this happen to anyone else?

Morning October Idealers!

Had my WI this morning.. gave the center another 5.8lbs! This is a total victory for me. I've been sick with bronchitis since mid week 2, and I'm now working on week 5 (Week 4 WI was this morning). I cannot believe how much this is working for me. I'm kinda scared that it's all just going to poof stop, but I'm committed to getting healthy and making this change stick this time...

emsmom97 10-29-2013 01:22 PM

Week 3 WI..down 2.4 pounds. Not as much as I would have hoped for, but still...a loss is a loss. Plus the doctor said it was all fat! And that I am most likely holding on to water since it was such a large fat loss. Hopefully my body adjusts quickly and I start dropping around 3 pounds per week. Oh...and it is TOM this week. So, all in all....can't complain!

Congrats Kawaii and emsmom97!

LUCCILOVE-I can't say why you got sick. With me, I don't have any food allergies, but when I eat crab I get a horrible cramping feeling in my stomach but I don't have the sensitivities to light/sound or the vomiting. Maybe try the crab or brownie on different nights and see if you get sick after one of them again?

LUCCILOVE 10-29-2013 03:28 PM

Jig--

Good idea. I do not normally vomit or have sensitivities to light or sound - that's why it was so weird. I am diabetic but I check myself often and have never had low blood sugar.

So far everything is better today. Just resting.

Great give away,Kawaii!

As for me, I am OP, but pretty frustrated. The mortgage co. wants building permits for renovations done prior to my purchasing the house. Now I have to apply for building permits, have a town inspector come and the Reno. Has to be up to today's codes (even though it was built 15 years ago). Seems completely ridiculous. I purchased and refi once before with the same mortgage firm. Ugh!

airportchick11 10-29-2013 07:22 PM

Emsmom and kawaii and buttbgone..CONGRATS on great WI's!!!

Claustin, we may be polar opposites with our food..I'm not a soup fan lol

Luccilove, I sure hope you feel better!!

I have my week 3 WI tomorrow, I've been OP so I can only hope for the best. I just wish I had a bit more energy! Does anyone else feel a bit weak muscularly? I am not trying to exercise too much but I am a pretty busy person and I find when I'm running errands or doing any type of exertion I get really weak.

ladybugsgrandma 10-29-2013 08:52 PM

I get to add another charm to my bracelet! I was looking for a way to remind myself of my accomplishment. I was on my way to Hobby Lobby to find something like marbles and a nice jar or beads. I hadn't decided. Hubby was with me and told my he had an idea... We ended up at the mall at the James Avery store. He told me he wanted to give me a charm for every 5 pounds to remind me of my success. (I earned my 6th one yesterday!) Sunday I heard him tell his mom what he was doing and her response was "That's a LOT of charms!!!" LOL You bet it will be!

LUCCILOVE 10-29-2013 09:02 PM

I read different answers to this question?

Is the new Double Chocolate Brownie restricted or not restricted? I thought my coach told me it was restricted?

ladybugsgrandma - The charms are a great idea. I reward myself by getting 90 minute massages. I am always tense or stressed out so this helps me.

Thanks

Hi everyone,

Luccilove, I am sorry that you were so sick. You poor thing:(

Claustin, thank you for talking about the choc, drink heated up, had it tonight and liked it.

Ladybugsgrandma, what a wonderful reminder of your success and very thoughtful of your husband.

I just ordered myself a silver bangle stamped with a Winnie the Pooh quote,

“Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."

It will be a reminder of my 20 pounds lost and my commitment to myself.

Thanks to all of you for being an outlet for me.;)
