I'm pretty sure canned tuna packed in water is allowed. The stuff I have has less than 250 calories per 8 ounces and only a couple of grams of fat. That's a lot healthier than many cuts of of lean meat. I'm not going to get hungup on little things like that. I find IP effective but things like that make it a little bit gimmicky in my mind. For me it's as much about changing my attitude about food as it is getting to goal. Unless I change the way I relate to food I will be Right back where I started. So I'm not going to stress over whether tuna is acceptable. If its low fat, low calorie, and low carb I'm going for it.

Love the quotes! Will be thinking of some of those today. :)

Week One WI - 7 pounds. I will definitely be happy with it, and I know it's silly, but I was hoping for a little more. I guess I was hoping it agreed with my scale, which says 9 pounds. I had my consultation and then went out on a girl's weekend. So, I know that it's possible I gained over that weekend. Anyway, for the most part, feeling good. Over the sickness and the headaches.

Good morning everyone! I am so happy to have my own little place where I can come for guidance, support, ideas and more. I wanted to share my own little non scale related happy story today. My hubby and I have been struggling financially for a long time, living paycheck to paycheck, as I am sure a lot of you can relate. Recently my husband's company re formatted the way they pay out commission, and as a result they sent out an extra paycheck to all of the sales reps, ours was $942.00. We started panicking because we knew that if this was a mistake, they would take it out of his next check, which falls the same day that our mortgage was due. We put the money in savings just to be safe, and we were anxious to find out what would happen. Well, this morning his company announced that if the employees were overpaid they could keep the money, and if they were underpaid, they would make up for it this next payday. I am so over the moon happy right now, we can pay off one of our many bills and then put some away for an emergency.

This is proof to me that someone is paying attention to my struggle and wants to take some of the burden away. I feel like I want to volunteer or something to pay it forward! What an amazing feeling!

Thanks for listening, I hope you all get some of your burdens taken away!

So happy just came back from WI. Lost another 3lbs and first time I ate out. So happy. Also asked my coach yes to tuna in can in water (trader joes has a great low sodium. It is the pink can).

Just tried the new garlic chips - reminds me of popchips. Nice to eat a crunch instead of pickles.

Thanks for everyones support and help as always. Great website

What a terrific feeling. I love when I stop and recognize that I have been shined on. Go do something to pass on that terrific feeling.

Good morning everyone. I had a horrible weekend :( but I am ready to start fresh. I wish I had someone watching me 24/7 to tell me I could do this. Sometimes I am my own worst enemy and critic :( but here's to another (and last) new start! I will make it thru this week 100% op

Congrats to everyone with weight loss victories and non-scale victories. They are encouraging to read. One day I'll have my own.

Have a great day everyone.

Claustin- You CAN do it! Don't dwell on the set back... just get back on the horse.

Luccilove- great job!!

Danger- such great news!

Madi100- 7lbs gone...AWESOME!

I tried out some recipes this weekend that I found on the Mix'n in the Kitchen thread. The English Muffins were amazing! Add an egg for breakfast and had an EGG SANDWICH! Incredible! I highly recommend you try it. It took me a couple time to get it right- still ate it but, not pretty. Splitting the mix up was definitely helpful.

Also If you are struggling to get in your veggies like me. The Goddess Soup was pretty good. It might even work to make the day before and bring it to work for lunch.

Good morning all. WI is tomorrow and I'm feeling as if this week won't be as good as the previous ones. I wonder if this is normal. 3 weeks in and all is well eating wise, it's just the attitude that is going wrong. I'm still 100% committed, it's just all in my head. Hopefully tomorrow will be successful so I can get over this funk!

iwannabe, it is the first sticky on the main IP forum page. It says "IP Ultimate List Recipes, FAQ, Newbie Guide, Exercise, and other Important Threads"

Click on that and you will see a couple recipe threads, two of which are devoted to user "Rainbowsmiles" recipes. She is really creative and posts lots of pictures which make even the novice cook want to become a chef!! Good Luck!

emsmom97 - I am struggling with the same thoughts! I started in October as well and am 14 lbs down after 4 weeks. For some reason, despite doing what I should be, I have this fear that it will all stop now or the scale won't move this week when I weigh in. Almost like this is "too good to be true".

So glad someone else is having the same feelings. I thought it was just me and I was driving myself crazy! Hopefully the scale keeps moving in the right direction and I can get over these thoughts.

You are not alone. I am shocked every time I have lost weight. I always feel like I am doing it wrong or cheating in some weird way. But I am not. I feel like why is this diet allowing me to lose weight vs other diets I have been on.

The night before each WI - mine is on Monday. Sunday night I am a crazy person and keep telling my husband I gained all the weight back or something is wrong with the scale. I say if I gain weight I am getting off the diet. I stress myself out for nothing so far. I am crazy.
