I am just blown away by the Ideal Protein Diet. WOW. It just seems miraculous. In only 7 weeks (49 days) I have lost 36 pounds, 7" off my waistline, and nearly 14" total.
When I started the diet on July 30th, my waistline was my largest measurement and at 54" it was nearly 2" bigger than my other two measurements (apple shaped).
Today, 49 days later, my waistline has dropped to 47" (down 7") and is nearly 2" smaller than my other two measurements (hourglassy).
And I am STILL nearly 100 pounds overweight! What am I going to look like when i lose another 100 pounds???? I am shaking my head over that thought.
One other thing that I am just shocked about is I haven't hit one serious weight loss plateau in 7 weeks (and I have ALWAYS hit plateaus in the past on other diets) -- All this and I get to eat every 3 hours and I am not even hungry!
I also just passed another milestone this morning!! When I started this diet I had 136 pounds to lose (from 326 to 190). Today, I just passed the “100 pounds to go” marker … and my goal weight is only 99.75 pounds away. At this rate, I might be close to target by Christmas!
I've been basically eating just two IP foods (not counting the home-cooked additions): the Chocolate Drink (2x per day) and the Cheddar Broccoli Soup (1x). I am mildly allergic to soy so I have to stick with whey based foods. It's FANTASTIC being able to eat or drink something every 3 hours from 6AM to 9PM. It really just doesn't give you any time to get hungry or get cravings. I do show only 3 c. of vegies on my food inventory below, however I do go with generously heaping cups, so it's more like 1.33 cups of vegies for each meal, so I am pretty close to the 4c. of veggies a day.
