Default First day, not going well. What food brands do you like?

This is my first day on the program. I am using the proti-diet brand and the food is horrible!!! Please help! What do you eat while on phase 1? I want to stay on the program and can't afford to do the full price program. What brands do you eat? I also can't eat a lot of sugar substitutes.

What items did you not like?
we can probably suggest packet hacks to help make them more palatable

I would say give it a few days. I remember day one for me using the IP products. I never thought I would make it. Everything was so different and so not what I was used to. However, over a bit of time, I adapted and adjusted and the food became better for me. Hang in there!

My first day was rough too. I thought the IP food was awful, and my choice of WF salad dressing was ranch, which was BAD. I thought "this is going to be loooooong 6 months!" But after a few days I found things I didn't mind eating (I still won't say I LIKE the IP food, but it's edible).

Sorry I can't offer any advice about food brands, but I encourage you to stick with it. The results are worth it!

I agree with this....there are a few things I hated the first week that I am now starting to actually enjoy...and I am only in my fourth week!

I tried the pancakes. I couldn't even swallow them, lol. I threw them out. I have the Proti Diet Chicken Noodle Soup, and Minestrone. It smells terrible but I can swallow it. Has anyone tried an off brand that they kinda liked? Thanks for the support!! Also, what do you do when you are starving! I am starving after breakfast and drinking water isn't cutting it.

You may need to do some packet hacking.
Go to the first post of the daily thread and check out all the links for the recipes. Many ways to make this 'food' taste more appetizing.

Hang in there! It does get better and for sure there are some packets that are tastier than others. I add hot sauce when possible. There are also some great websites with IP recipes.
