After several weeks of Zero to little movement I dropped 3 pounds today. It's a great start to my long weekend at the lake. Happy Memorial Day Weekend everyone. Remember to stop and think why we have this Day. Hugs to all those that have served our great Country.
The Wedding Cake debacle continues. I managed to spit out every taste of chocolate I did while making it, and yesterday I baked all the cakes without taking a single taste. (Which is rough, when your reflex is always to lick the stray batter off your hand!)
Tonight, I fill and frost the cakes! No tastes!
On another note, my lovely jeans that I can now fit into have gone from tight to fitting perfect.

I have to go taste desserts for my wedding...I dont know what to do! I'm thinking about bringing a friend to taste for me, but no one I know is as picky about food quality as I am (yes, this is a snobby problem-- I admit it)
Had another WI yesterday, and I continue to whittle away towards goal
Have now lost 40 pounds on IP, and 38.6 inches. I am totally satisfied with the rate of loss, considering how slowly I was losing before IP.
I just encourage everyone to stay true to themselves over the long weekend. When I am tempted to cheat the program, I remind myself that it is not the program that I am cheating, but myself.
WI#2 two days ago - down 8 lbs!! I had been very good -- and was getting a little bit cocky. Went to a friend's yesterday, who treated me to broiled salmon and steamed asparagus. I was feeling so relieved and secure because I had lost a significant amount of weight that I over-indulged myself into of those two things only! I ate so much of these good things, that within 45 minutes I couldn't keep my eyes open, and had to lay down and drift almost off to sleep for another 30 minutes, before I awoke refreshed.
Now - That over-eating causes a large amount of insulin to be secreted by my already over reactive pancreas, and so a bunch of glucose got stored as fat. So this morning I found I had GAINED 1 pound back! ):
I got sleepy because my blood sugar went so high from eating more than I needed, and then the insulin poured out into my blood stream and packed it all away, like stuffing things into a closet. All good food, but too much of a good thing!! In people without hypoglycemia, that much of that kind of food would not really be significant; they would put out less insulin and digest it at a reasonable pace but over 2-3 hours, kind of like having a full tank of gas to work with. (You teach best what you most need to learn, right?)
It appears lemon IS allowed, although no other fruits are.
I typically juice a whole lemon (rind and all) and then dilute it with ice water all day long. This is pretty much all I drink in the warmer months. Do you think I am OK continuing this?

Were you diagnosed with hypoglycemia before you started this diet? Do you think that this diet could give me hypoglycemia? I'm having a crazy reaction to my dinners....not falling asleep crazy, but I get tired, and crave sugar in the most intense way.

I'm willing to bet the 1lb gain is the actual physical food in your intestines and water, as opposed to a lb of fat. I would just continue to drink your water and work on the overeating.
