Official day 1 - sucks Did great all day but this is my weak time...between work and dinner.
Don't mind me - just talking/typing myself off the ledge.

Did your coach give you an "extra" packet for this week? Mine did and this is the time of day that I eat it! On my first day I munched on pickles this time of day - totally satisfied the crunch craving!

Have an extra packet. That's better than giving into your craving. And just know that it gets better and easier . Dont give up what you want in the future for what you want in the moment!

I made some stevia syrups this weekend and plain liquid stevia and they are working out great. I added a little to my lemon water and it really hit the spot. It's already getting to the 90s here so that will do me well. I even added some mint since it's growing so much in my garden.

I've taken to making a meal plan for a month. It will help me to stay more organized. I am cooking something ahead, which will be great on those busy days.

I'm looking through the P3 and P4 sheets and had a question for those with the knowledge. The P3 sheet says to keep your fat intake to under 15 grams a day. What's the goal for fats in P4 and Maintenance?

Hugs to those that need the extra support for their re-boots, you can do it!

Jen02719- congrats on reaching goal! I'm right with you about being terrified of moving to next phase....... I have 10 more pounds to go and should hit goal weight on date planned. So excited!
My big worry is I go on vacation the following week, scared to death that I'll be feeling so fantastic that I'll just blow the whole thing. I started thinking of what I'm bringing already- might just stay P1 until after- seems like it would be easier to stay in control.

My newest challenge is my 2 college kids are now home and my youngest is graduating H.S. so now more bodies at home nd more food in the house- more meal planning to keep everyone happy! Aaaaaah! I guess that's what this plan is about - planning for real life.

Have a great day everyone.....off to the market.
THANKS! It was so much easier on phase one. The packets are easier than another 8 ounces of meat to prepare. My youngest is also graduating from High School next weekend. I know I will have to buy extra groceries with him and his older brother being home all summer. At least while in school they ate lunch away! LOL We are going on vacation in July. I should be well into maintenance when we go. I know I am going to eat "bad" on vacation. But I think I can handle a few days of phase one when I get back to readjust my weight. I think that is how it works.

The 15 grams of fat is for your breakfast in P3 (butter, peanut butter, almond butter, etc.)

Fat can be used in your P4 lunch (carb-poor) but only about 1 teaspoon of oil for dinner is allowed since you can have a serving of complex carbs (fat-poor).

I believe maintenance needs to be tailored for each individual, but I know one rule is to keep fats and carbs separate, except for breakfast where you can combine all food groups.

Obviously I have a while to go, so I'm sure others will chime in!

So far "restart" day 1 has been excellent. Stayed on plan all day and wasn't even tempted to eat anything else. Getting my water in and my vitamins. Now to just make something for supper. I'm thinking a nice salad. Its +26 here and really not in the mood for anything hot. Looking forward to tomorrow and staying on track. I really really want to get to goal. **Feeling Great**

The 15g fats for P3 are just for breakfast, not the whole day. If you browse through the P3 breakfast thread there are tons of recipes and ideas that meet the guidelines, it helped me a lot when I first hit P3!

There isn't really a "goal" fat intake for maintenance - the first few months of maintenance are really trial and error, figuring out what works for your body. The general rule of thumb (if you are planning to follow the fat/carb separation recommendation) is to have 1-2 servings of "good" fats at lunch (i.e. salad dressing/evoo and cheese or avocado), and limit fats at dinner (no cream or cheese sauces, no heavy oils).

I track on My Fitness Pal, and I have it set up with daily goals of 40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% fats. I can usually get pretty close to that most days and I've been maintaining steadily in my 5lb window for 3 months.

Great job Anna! We've got this! as for the scale... I put it in more or less the same spot every day and then just use that number. In the grand scheme of things, I don't think it'll make a huge difference... but in a slow week I'd probably move it around to get the lowest weight

The cappuccino is one of my staples! I usually have it in the morning, and i mix it with my coffee in a huge mug - delicious! I do the same thing with the chocolate powder shake..
