  • Quote: What is in the bar that might be causing this issue???
The major difference I see is the Chocolate Brownie bar is sweetened wtih sucralose (Splenda) and the Choc peanut butter with stevia & Eryrithrotol.

Sucralose is well-known to cause issues in the gut (kills beneficial bacteria, for starters)

    Thank you for the info!
  • I just placed my first order of Quest bars and chips from the Quest web site. I ordered a variety....I have to say the web site it pretty cruddy. If I didn't want to try these so bad I would have given up my order about 5 times. But, I finally was able to post the order.
  • Thank you all for your thoughts on these bars. I was buying the choc chip cookie dough from my local GNC and yes, they were chewy, almost tough at times but still tasty and quite filling. I had no idea they could be soft, hmmmm! And to bake the bars, positively brilliant!

Ordered a variety pack of the stevia based bars plus 2 bags of chips from the Quest website. Interested to see how they taste.

The coupon code "onaquest" still works for free shipping. Read about that on this thread, from a 2013 post.
  • I do Google searches on items (for example the Quest bars) to find out who has the cheapest cost and delivery charge. For me, Vitamin Shoppe has the best price plus free shipping after $49 purchase (also there's a store near by). Nashua Nutrition also carries some of the bars FYI.
  • I am lucky to live 30 minutes from a GNC store. They currently have a special on buy three get one free.
  • I don't use these as I stick to IP products but my mom does and she gets them on Amazon prime with free shipping- worth looking into!
  • I am new to 3FC but have been using quest for a while!! I am so happy that I can use quest bars for IP phase 1!!!! yay!!So glad I found this thread!!! SO much information here!! Thank you for sharing you guys!!!
This will help me plan my Thailand trip!! I am planning on staying OP!!(fingers crossed)

    Yes.
This has been discussed a LOT on this thread. Or maybe the alt thread
  • I just saw!! My bad!! Thanks for replying!!
  • I just saw something in my Facebook feed that Quest is also coming out with a line of protein powders!
  • I had to jump in on the Sucralose comment earlier. I'd be careful about assuming that there's anything wrong with Sucralose...

Given how hard it can be to find food that's ok for the IP diet, I'd be careful about limiting yourself based on one (questionable) study.

Also, thanks for the info on the Quest chips. I'm going to see about ordering some of those for my snack option.

snopes is one opinion on sucralose. I get mine from more reputable sources. Sucralose causes me all kinds of stomach problems. Here are a variety of opinions from a variety of sources. First one is NIH.
