I need to vent!

My grandmother is being taken off life support today. My brother is in a high combat zone and has not yet been notified. My cousin posted on his FB page about my grandmother's upcoming death. I know his wall is completely public and has no privacy controls set up at all. I asked him to please erase or at least hide his post as not all family members have been notified and to accidentally learn something like that from facebook is seriously not cool. His response...he blocked me! I am so furious! He is also former military, so he should know that kind of thing is not acceptable. I just can't believe how insensitive people can be!

Oh my! I found out something on FB that I should have found out from family. I know what that feels like. At least he will find out...albeit in an inappropriate manner. I wonder why your cousin felt the need to do that?

I'm so sorry this day has come on so many levels and sorry, too, that the family is not united. Removing a family member from life support is the hardest thing I have ever done. Strength and peace to you today. Unfortunately we can't control the actions of others but we can maintain our own peace and sanity. Wishing peace to your grandmother, as well.

Bellamack,
I am so sorry to hear of this loss. It's so unfair. Will keep you and that family in my prayers.

I'm glad you can all be together somewhere warm, enjoying the time together. Sharing loving times together is a precious thing, something to be treasured, we just don't know what the future brings.

I have to catch up on a lot of reading, but thought I'd check in that I slept in MY OWN BED last night!!! They finally let us go from work at 11:30 last night. 41 hours at work, 3 hrs of sleep on a hospital gurney, I was ready to come home. Biggest SV/NSV of the weekend - I stayed 100% ON PLAN through the entire ordeal (including having to make OP meals from hospital cafeteria food) and LOST 0.8lb!!! I weighed myself this morning and I'm down to 158.6!
Thank God for nurses!

Default Unjury Cheese Sauce

Hi all,,
Thought I'd report back on the Unjury Protein'd Cheese Sauce which I had last night for the first time. If you like Kraft Mac & Cheese, then you will probably like this sauce. I think it would work with any nacho inspired dish Rainbow invented and is ripe for adding more fun flavors to, such as hot sauce, chopped roasted peppers, etc. I made 1 serving, and dipped steamed broccoli into it. For a full cup of broccoli I only used 1/8 cup when dipping and that was plenty. I saved the rest of the portion for future use. My husband thought it tasted pretty good - he actually said "it wasn't bad". But in his world that means pretty good. The highest accolade he gives food is "tasty".

Stats:

I have popcorn seasonings in white cheddar and nacho cheddar flavored powders (www.kernelseasonings.com) and think I'll make sauces with those once I use up the 2 bags of unjury sauce mix. The popcorn seasonings are quite good, but not clear what the nutritional stats are for 1/8 cup of sauce - they provide recipes on their website but only nutritional stats for 1/4 tsp of the product - would realistically use 1-2 tsps to make a sauce so the sauce could end up at 7-8 carbs...well,, that's not so bad.

Congrats to those with great and challenging weight losses this weekend. Way to go!

My thoughts and prayers are with those in our IP family who are grieving and dealing with sad days ahead. We love you!

WI this morning and my signature tracker now shows I'm over 1/2 way to my goal. Woot, Woot!
I will most likely change my goal to be lower, but don't want to seriously think about that yet. I chose my goal 4 months ago because it was the weight I approximately weighed when I got married almost 20 years ago. Also, part of me felt that the goal weight number I gave to my coach was "just for fun" since I really didn't think I'd actually see it. Well, I know in a few months I'll have to reevaluate since I'm now believing I can and will see that number.
So, just a little celebration in knowing that today I'm half way in weight loss to my current goal weight. Jen

Have a beautiful Sunday!

DoctorBlue,
I just saw your post and am very sorry for you and your family. It is so difficult to work through removing a loved one from life support and then to have this friction in the family makes it all the more trying. You and your family are in my prayers.

Doctorblue I am so sorry for your loss. I totally understand where you
a re. my mom died in May and my niece posted something. My son was in the middle of college final exams. He only had one left and then she could post. I wanted to be able to tell him in person when he came home and let him get through his exams. Luckily he didn't check FB. Some people just don't understand "appropriate"

I just logged in to 3FC and a pop up appeared with Burger Kind and Mc DOnalds ....seriously??? they must have known I was dissing them yesterday

Hi everyone, happy Sunday! I have been feeling off the past week and feeling hunger pains which I thought was too many carbs fri all the rutabaga I was eating.

Well, I took a pregnancy test this am and it's positive! It's still very early so anything could happen. I have a text out to my coach telling her. I'm going to put myself on P2 until I either heat back from her with instructions or see her in Tuesday for my WI. This isn't a surprise and when I told her this may happen I think she told me to phase off over 2 weeks. I am planning on staying within the maintenance guidelines though. I have worked hard to get these 60 lbs off and I want to stay healthy.

I will be checking in with you guys still!

Ketosis is an appetitie supressant. Isn't it wonderful? Appetite will come back with an increase in food in future phases, however.

Thank you Lisa for your answer, I was a little bit concerned
