Finally broke down and drank some smooth move tea last night..I just HAD to do something..well half the name is true..it sure did get things moving this morning but I would hesitate to call it smooth...2 hrs in and out of the bathroom..and unbelievably I lost 4 lbs in those two hrs..yikes!

Ive since had a cup of tea and an IP bar, my stomach is now churning and growling so loud you can hear it across the room. Needless to say , I will not be leaving the house today, which is fine since we got 12 inches of snow!

On the plus side I was so attached to the bathroom that my hubby and kids did all the shoveling without me!

Holy crap, lots of snow LOL!

I made a nice, hearty tomato sauce since I'll be shoveling the whole weekend. Tomatoes, ground beef, onion, garlic, basil, oregano and anything else I could find. I just had a bowl after shoveling for about an hour. Now I am resting, letting my clothes dry. I will probably head out in a little bit to try and dig my car out. It's covered in about three feet of snow all around :-/

I'm also making a big pot of minestrone soup. Lots of veggies, lots of water, very filling, and WARMING.

Please stay safe everyone!

You stay safe, too! Sounds like you really had a great plan for sustenance! Take it easy. Those shoveling muscles aren't ones we normally use

No, they definitely aren't lol.

Last night I was actually stuck in the blizzard. There was a traveling ban but I am a nurse and was technically allowed to be on the streets. Scariest and stupidest decision I've ever made. Completely white out, over a foot and a half of snow was on the ground. When I tried to leave my work, I got stuck at the end of the driveway, partially into the street. I shoveled, rocked my car, but couldn't get out. I called roadside assistance but they refused to come out because of the blizzard conditions. Eventually, I made it out on my own and headed home. Absolutely terrifying!

The blizzard has stressed me out so much, I immediately wanted to eat some sweets, but refrained. The meat sauce was a good compromise LOL.

Help - I have searched everywhere for the chocolate zuchinni muffins that a lot of people were referring to. I just can't find it. Can someone point me in the right direction?

So I have gotten 2 people (friends) turned onto IP and they are on their 3rd week and doing great! I have another 5 (at least) at work looking into it, researching it... going to maybe join it. I love it!

Husband found out at work once he started there were 3-4 others (he works for a company of 60) on the IP plan!

I made cauli-rice. Chopped up cauliflower florets in my food processor to make the rice. Then fried it on the stovetop. I had tried the microwave method before but the "rice" didn't really stick together. After it had cooled to room temperature I added some Splenda and some rice vinegar. This is the one I used http://www.walmart.com/ip/Nakano-Nat...12-oz/10309455. You have to read the ingredients because some of the rice vinegars have added sugar.) I didn't really measure out exactly how much I used. Just added a little at a time until the cauliflower stuck together. It's not going to stick as well as rice would, but it should hold enough to make a roll.

In this one I put in bell pepper, cucumber, and Protidiet roasted soy nuts.
