Just wanted to check in before I head out to the gym. Going to step class this morning, it's by far my favorite but I'm cutting back to just 2-3 per week and seeing how I feel. If it's to much I'll cut it totally but I'm adding an extra packet immediately after so hopefully I will be fine. I also cut down the size of my step from 12 inches to 6 inches so I don't have as much resistance.
Tried something new for breakfast and it was pretty good. I had a bunch of Vanilla puddings laying around and since the only cup that is big enough to hold my cappuccino and coffee is still dirty I decided to mix one of those up as a shake. I also added a heavy dose of cinnamon and a tiny sprinkle of Splenda, it's REALLY good!! Very thick and filling and the taste and texture almost remind me of raw cake batter. It's not something I would want every day, but it's pretty good.
First, thanks to Lisa for getting this thread going for us, and that's day after day.
Below is some info I posted last night but wanted to repeat here so some of you wouldn't miss it.
The bottom line: Land O Lakes Seasonings seems to be back, in the guise of Kernel Season's.
The relevance (and importance, at least to me and few old timers here) is that we were missing certain flavors and were having a hard time getting those without going into the world of restricted products (and you should only have 1 restricted a day). These seasonings provided a lot of fast flavor. Often a couple of these would be sprinkled on my easiest meal (steamed zucchini, asparagus, chicken breast). Those foods became carriers for these flavors.
The LOL seasonings (5 flavors) disappeared and I think have been resurrected by a different company and there are 14 flavors now. CAUTION: Must be used very sparingly. Personally, I'll be using these in maintenance for sure and very sparingly most days till I reach that point.

REPEAT OF YESTERDAY'S POST
All,
Just came back from the movies and at the popcorn counter I saw they were selling "Kernel Season's Popcorn Seasoning" in these little .9 oz containters that looked much like Land O Lakes Seasonings containers which have been pulled from the market.
Rainbow and Molly, look at this website. www.kernelseasons.com and click on Popcorn Seasonings.
They are both made in Elk Grove Village, IL and as I still have the original Land O Lakes version of all 5 flavors sold originally and tasted what I bought tonight at the movie theatre and compared it to the Land O Lakes version... very similar with nearly identical nutritional stats.
At the www.kernelseasons.com website (after selecting popcorn seasonings), you'll see they offer a web special where you can buy 4 and get the 5th free (5 for $15.99) of the 2.85 oz size (Land O Lakes sold a 3 oz container). Noted they also sell 14 flavors (i.e. pizza, chili lime, jalapeno, white cheddar, bacon cheddar, milk chocolate caramel, caramel, apple cinnamon, cajun, etc.).
Check the stats, these would need to be used very sparingly. However, Rainbow and I were just lamenting on how the Land O Lakes product info was pulled from their website, product was gone...my guess, and it's not confirmed, is that the product has been resurrected as Kernel Season's. (Yes, that's how they spell it, including that apostrophe). I used these with great success on IP in 2012 and am thrilled they are back!
This is such great news, I will probably repeat it tomorrow on the weekend thread so interested folks don't miss it, given how late in the day this story is breaking. (Can you tell I'm excited?)
Good morning everyone. I hope you all have an awesome weekend. Thanks for the birthday wishes yesterday. I had a great OP day and birthday. Here is to every one having a great OP weekend.
I'm going to the pool with the rug rats today, my five year old received her mermaid flipper/tail in the mail yesterday so me Need to go try that out. She used an Amazon gift card from Christmas to buy it.

They have a store locator on the website as well.
Thanks for the info. Can you share more background re: using them sparingly? What's in them that should be avoided? Also, what about Butter Buds? I've been wondering whether they're okay to use in moderation.
And ditto what you said about Lisa getting this thread going every day! It's much appreciated!!
Today is a travel day for me ... heading back to reality and the land of the cold (the NWS is calling for a chance of "a little wintry mix" tonight . It's going to be tough leaving the ocean and the warm breezes, but at least I'll be back here soon. I try to get away for as much of the winter as I possibly can.
I had Egg Beaters this morning, and have a bar and a Cappuccino packet for during the day, along with some celery and pepper strips. I figure I can get a salad and a cup of hot water either at the airport or on the plane. Then it's home for dinner and back to my normal routine (although since I've been traveling most of the time since I've been on IP, who knows what 'normal' is! )
I am new on the program and just had my first double chocolate bar for breakfast...am working my way through my sample bag, trying all the different products. So far this bar is my favorite, and will keep in mind when serious chocolate cravings strike (which is a regular thing for me).
I do have a newbie question that I didn't see addressed in the sticky threads, I apologize if I missed it as I bet it has come up before. I don't have a microwave at home, can the soups be heated up on the stovetop? Or will the result be very different?
Good Morning Everyone! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend.
We are all still sick here Really hoping to get over this darn cold. Nasty!
What's really been on my mind lately is related to eating as a family. One of my biggest realizations is how carb heavy our eating has become. I am the only in my family so far to have problems with this eating style. My hubby and kids (5 and 3) are stick thin. The question I'm struggling with is do I overhaul eating for everyone or just myself? Do my kids need a diet high in protein and low in carbs? I'm worried I'm setting them up for issues later on. Has anyone else thought about this?
Thanks for all the birthday wishes yesterday. You all are the best! I made it through 100% OP. Today and tomorrow I have family in town staying in the French Quarter. They want my hubby and I to meet them for decadent dinners and drinks at Pat O'Briens. I'll be fine, though. There is always something to eat, and I'll have water to drink at Pat O's. No famous hurricanes for this gal!
sahmmommy2,
I think kids need a balanced diet but maybe make sure the carbs your husband and children are eating are whole grain breads, pasta and quinoa vs. white bread, pasta and rice.
But I would still make sure they're eating plenty of fruits, veggies, yogurts, etc. that are healthy for us in Phase 4?
Good morning all! Chloe found those seasonings a few weeks ago. The serving size is small but packs a punch!!! I miss cheese so this is helping a bunch
Mardi Gras season begins tomorrow (always something to celebrate in Louisiana!) and with it the King Cake tradition. King cakes are dough like cakes with many different flavorings inside. There is a lil plastic baby in the cake and whoever gets the baby has to bring the next king cake. This goes on until Ash Wednesday. The season is short this year. I work at a school and our parents are so sweet and bring us 2-5 king cakes daily. I think I'm glad that I have an extra week off for recovery!
