Go for at least 100. More if you want or need too. I was shared when input down 250 as my goal. Now I have 96 left to loose!

Let the Mardi Gras season begin.....I'm more excited for all of the spring festivals although they will be quite a challenge on IP.

My son is back at college in NOLA.....love that city....cannot believe that he is halfway through his undergrad degree in a few months

They absolutely love them, so I buy extra every week so they don't eat my snacks. My daughter asked how something healthy can taste so good, so we had a good discussion about that!

When I started IP, I had never really had any success at weight loss before (20lbs max before giving up). So when I went to the clinic, and they asked me for my weight loss goal, I said 60 lbs. at that time, it seemed unachievable, so kind of lofty goal that would probably never happen. Losing 60lbs would put me at about the weight I was at at the end of university. I was obviously still overweight, but still able to do many more activities than I can now.

Fast forward to now, 6 weeks later, after being on IP for 6 weeks. I've already lost 30 lbs, I find this diet very manageable, haven't had many hiccups despite the holidays, etc. So now, the 60lbs seems very achievable! Now, the question becomes: do I stick with the 60lbs goal, or do I change it? By that, I really mean, do I mentally change it. Am I going to be overwhelmed if I start thinking about 100lbs+? Am I better to stick with the first goal of 60lbs and deal with it when I get there? If I leave it, am I setting myself up for stopping at 60lbs? How did you pick your goal?

I'm probably over thinking all of this!

Have a great day everyone!
My first goal was 150 and I lowered it because this diet is easy to stay on but sounds harder to get back on. So I suggest staying on as long as you can and get down to the weight you want to stay at.

Good morning everyone, hope your all having a great weekend.
I'm at work catching up on the posts as you can see not alot of work going on. =) Scorbett & Ninjanurse market basket in New Bedford is where I shop as well. Gotta love the prices & I like to go early in the morning to beat the rush. The rice cakes at Trucchi's are great.

Another local IP folk!! There are quite a few of us here . I have to admit I despise going to MB, I send my husband with a list. I always forget things and don't remember where to find them. I am in Dartmouth and we tend to do our "bigger" shopping trips there and do S&S in between. I want to get into a local CSA this year with my new love for vegetables.

You'll know when you're closer to goal. You don't have to decide that today. I was agonizing over 150 or 140 (149 officially gets me out of the "overweight" BMI range). I decided I'd "decide" when I get to 150! How will I know how I'll look/feel until I get there?

Festivals don't have to be a challenge, unless we make it so in our own heads! We've all been through so much and stayed OP. A festival is just another day to plan for. Planning ahead is the key. When I say THIS is how I'm going to stay on plan through this, then I am in change, not the food.

I'd try not to worry about it until you're closer to your current weight loss goal. I predict by then you'll be so pleased with your success that you'll definitely continue working towards a lower goal weight. But there's no need to decide right now what you want that final *number* to be. It's just a number, and easily adjusted. Sometimes too, if you've got a considerable amount to lose, it's more motivating to look forward in a series of smaller weight loss goals... it doesn't seem as daunting that way. And the feelings of accomplishment and satisfaction that you get as you meet each smaller weight loss goal support you towards further success.

I originally phased out mid-Dec at 155lbs (which was a goal weight I determined in conjunction with my Dr.). However, I've since decided that I prefer to go a bit lower - so I'm back on P1, working towards an additional -10lbs. But I didn't know I'd feel this way about things, until I was actually at that 155lbs and could see how I felt.

Good morning everyone! It is COLD here. 7 above with windchill and blowing snow. My tootsies are cold. Just had my blueberry cran-granata drink for breakfast, have started on my water, took my chicken out to thaw for supper, and laid my packet out for lunch. My day is planned. Like that.

How bout those Packers!! Love 'em. I have a soft spot for the Vikings - growing up in South Dakota - you have to like the Vikings - but am a big Packers fan - so was happy with the outcome.

Going to watch more football today, work on income tax (ugh) and enjoy being where it is warm. I hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Afternoon everyone!

Today is Day 3 of my restart, feeling good. So far it's really not as difficult as I thought it would be going back! I feel like this is where I belong. I went out for Brazilian last night with my guy and it was delicious. I stayed OP, maybe went a little over on the meat.

Today I'm heading to a casino with my family, going to play slots for a bit. They give out free alcoholic beverages and I will not be partaking. I am going to look for something to eat though!

Hope everyone has a great day :-)

Question Newbie here with a question....

Hi everyone. I am so excited to be here. 3 Fat Chicks is the best!!!
I am laid off right now, so I am doing some alternatives. I have read for hours upon hours. I know I should post my question on the alternatives thread, but for the life of me can't find the most recent (and still open) one.

So, question 1: How do I find it?

question2: Are there any alternative protein packs like the potato puree? I love Rainbow's recipes--she rocks!

Thanks for being such a great support! I hope to be able to do the same support for someone else someday!!!

My cauliflower, spinach egg white casserole turned out really good. At least for me It took longer to bake because the egg whites are real watery. I used the left over cauliflower I roasted Saturday so it has lots of seasoning with it. I'm getting the hang of this cooking.....it's the clean up I hate now...

Recently people started too many threads about alternative products. I'll find you the best (biggest) one and bump it & try to get the others closed (yet again...sigh)

Edit: Here it is Alternative products that will work on Phase 1. I'll bump it too so maybe people will just use this, rather than starting new ones and confusing everyone.
