Well.. I bet someone there DOES read the boards here so perhaps ... We could always start a thread with discussions /wish lists for specific companies in the hope they read and move ideas to product development. If it was my company ... I'd be reading us!!!
I have never seen Quest noodles before, but this sounds interesting. Is it something to be used in place of an IP packet? or is it more of a shitake-type noodle?
Definitely NOT in place of a packet.
Some people use them as 0/0/0
I have decided they are an "addition" I can live without. Mixed results in the low-carb community with those.
In my search for a good IP Chocolate Drink alternative I just tried the EAS Lean 15 Chocolate Fudge powder to compare the taste to the V-Core Vantage Milk Chocolate I tried yesterday for my morning frappe. The EAS had the protein smell and the flavor was a lot like the taste of powdered milk. I remember my mother slipping powdered milk into our cereal and we could always tell. Ick! This reminded me of that. I added some WF chocolate to see if that would make it more chocolatey, and it did, but it didn't really cover the protein taste.
I can definitely stomach it and it isn't horrible, but I LOVED the V-Core! The stats for both are below and the V-Core has more calories....right now I am thinking it is worth it, as this is my breakfast every morning and I don't want to have things I am just tolerating. I'm afraid that might make it harder for me to stay OP.
EAS V-Core Vantage

dak1lls: I would say you're fine with the V-Core shakes for your morning breakfast. Stats looks good and if it makes you more comfortable the Mango RTD is 150 calories.
I just googled the V-core (I had never heard of these) and, wow, there are a couple of interesting flavors....orange dreamsicle and cookies n' cream.
Are these available in any brick and mortar store, or are they only available through the Complete Nutrition website?
I am not particularly fond powders and prefer premade (love my EAS) but this would add some variety.

These are available in their brick & mortar stores. The sales person gave my DH some samples of the S'mores, Vanilla and Milk Chocolate. They were all out of the Orange Dreamsicle and Cookies n' Cream. I was impressed that they gave samples! It is hard to justify paying so much for a big container and not liking it. I have only tried the chocolate, but it was so good I felt like I must be cheating. The reviews on their web site are great, but I never really trust those. lol. DH said they have some kind of club to save 50%, but there is a fee. He couldn't remember the details so I need to go in and talk to them. I think retail for a container of 58 servings is $82, which is $1.41 per serving. Way better than IP prices, even at full retail. He did say that Cookies n' Cream is the most popular flavor....I bet I will love that one.

Enjoy!
Thanks for the confirmation. It is hard to be objective sometimes and it was so yummy I didn't want to convince myself I should have something I shouldn't. I have been 100% OP and don't want to mess up by accident.
I am 100% alternatives now. I used to do the Mango RTD for lunch every day and really miss it. My coach only sold to us if we stayed all IP, so I have had a hard time finding another Mango drink to replace theirs. I tried the Aloha Mango Smoothie from Nashua Nutrition, but I have to really doctor it up and it isn't RTD. Nothing like IP Mango. Wish I could find a good alt for that.
The soy isn't new. The pea protein is. I had to.quit buying the EAS RTD when I gave up soy.

However, and this may just be coincidence, I was hungry 2 hours after I drank the shake with pea protein, whereas usually I can last approx. 3.5 hours after drinking the shake before I eat again. I felt like I was starving! I'm going to go buy out my stores too
The soy really isn't an issue for me, just how I read the one post, it seemed to say the soy was new. That's really the only reason I mentioned it. Still not seen the new formula around here yet and not looking forward to it, but we will see.

I actually like the new formula... Don't be afraid to try it. If you find many of these products are sweeter than foods you like normally, you may like the subtle difference. I usually need to add crushed ice or black coffee to cut the sweetness and found the sweetness was a bit "milder" in the new product.
I just had the V-Core Vantage S'mores flavored protein powder from Complete Nutrition yesterday. It was delicious! 150 calories, 20 from fat. 6g net carbs, 23g protein. No aspartame. I mixed with 6 oz water and a cup of crushed ice in my Magic Bullet. It tasted like it actually had Graham crackers in it! Which it didn't of course. This is a keeper.
For the sake of not wanting to read through this whole thread, just wondering if anyone has tried any of the Pro Energy Diet products from lowcarbgrocer.com? Or what other products are on there that are IP friendly, other than the Walden Farms items??
A couple things. Got my Nashua order and so far disappointed. Not caring for the Chili Lime Soy Nuts or the chocolate covered soy snacks. Both Proti-diet. Maybe it's just too much soy :-( Also I know we shouldn't whine about the free samples but they sent me a sample of something I ordered in my order! Bummer.
Anyway, does anyone know a good alternative to the southwest snacks from ideal protein? Or a good cookie or pasta Alternative. I know there's good information in the forum but I've read them a million times and some of my notes disappeared off of my iphone.
I think I'm gonna sell the boxes of the stuff I don't like on ebay or something. Lol
I can't stand the Cafe Caramel...I gave mine away. I have burned out on most of them, only the Rich Dark Chocolate is still palatable. I quite liked them warmed up in the winter as well.
IF YOU HAVE TRIED and know it works, please respond with the product and your results.
Does anyone, who has successfully lost on Alternatives, know their avg daily carb count?
I lost 65 lbs on IP in 6 months, its a great diet. However, I believe whey protein caused or enhanced the all over body pain and gave me blackheads that went away after I got off the IP products. I have decided to avoid milk protein, which means I can't do the alternates most people use. I'm trying Vega One which is a protein shake with the daily vitamins, antioxidants, omega 3, probiotics, etc. The problem is the carb count, 5 Net carbs but, then I add veggie and a small amount of fruit. The calorie intake is the same as IP but carbs are higher.
