Pre-IP I was doing 3-miles@12 min/miles (barely) and 71lb later I am easily able to do 5-miles@8:30 min/mile pace on the treadmill. I kept up with the group of 'seasoned runners' and didn't feel like the outcast fat runner of the group that I was before in a sea of fit runners.
WOW Liz, very impressive. Way to go!

Thank you. My clinic only sells by the box. I guess I should have checked other counties because Baltimore is only an hour drive and would have been woth it for a variety of food. She did allow me to buy 6 boxes because I told her if it gets boring I will probably quit.

I found a source for IP products online for $5 less a box & splurged and got 10. That way I have LOTS of choices and if I need to miss a weekly weigh-in, I have plenty of food. I still buy from my coach, too.
Another choice would be to use the alternative products. There are several threads about that.
Thank you. I was hoping to not have to look for another source. Other than this one issue I really like my coach.

Default Two and a Half Weeks

After 17 days on Ideal Protein, I have lost 8# and 13". My short term goal is to lose 12# more by Thanksgiving vacation. I hope I don't suffer the cold feelings of which others are complaining. I'll be going to a Bronco game and skiing in Breckenridge and Snowmass. Brrr

Hi all -
Looking for some help. I'm new here and new to the IP diet. Just weighed in my first week today. Lost 8lbs....so they say.. I'm a little sceptical.
Anyway, my wife is on the diet also and has done great so then I decided to try it.
With my first week down. I found myself, starving within and hour of every "meal" so I would have an egg or 2 to hold me over. Also, I am not in ketosis after 8 days. I have not cheated and followed it very strickly but this thing is kicking my butt. It is not as easy as it's made out to be.
Anybody have any suggestions on how I can keep from starving and get on to ketosis??
Thanks for your help.
IV
