Haha Gordito, you have a virtual beer and I'll have a virtual wine that I'm dying for and we'll celebrate still getting skinny! How's that?! lol

Can I join the getting skinny celebration? I'll share a bottle of virtual wine with you! :D You get to chose - as long as it's at least relatively dry - and preferably red! Hm-hm... that glass of wine that I've been putting off for so long is going to taste awfully good - around Christmas. :D

IP is a great time to be everyone else's designated driver. I bet I could get a couple of boxes of IP out of the deal! :)

2 weeks is way too early to be thinking about cheating. Give yourself a few months and when you do decide to partake believe me you will not enjoy it like you use to. I was a big drinker before IP now I have lost my taste for wine. I couldn't finish a beer and when I did have a couple of low card margaritas I felt like crap the next day and just wanted to eat more food to feel better.

I'm not going to pretend that I dont indulge in the occasional alcoholic beverage, however I know the possible outcome of my decisions. When I go out I do like to enjoy a caesar or a vodka water with a twist of lime. I decided as a PERSONAL decision that it may kind of hinder my diet, but I'm still losing and not making it a habit..

It's all really how you play. I just do what makes me happy. and vodka makes me happy. LOL

The personal decision I made was choosing this program. I could have chosen a program that allowed an occasional drink but I didn't. I'm sticking to my decision and my commitment to stay OP until I lose my weight. No excuses!

Me too!

Only you can decide. But you are not going to get a green light from many here. Do you want a beer or do you want your goal weight of 215. It's all up to you. I've been five months w/o a beer. I miss it but I like my shrinking waist line much more than the beer.

So now Im quoting myself...for those of you who rushed in to slam me about only being on the program 2 weeks and wanting to cheat....Well....tobe truthful I wanted to cheat on day 2 and 3. granted my wife's enchiladas looked so good (6th day) but I didnt touch them. I ve been 100% OP, and 19 lbs lighter. And for those of you, I knew what my answer was already. I made sure I was going to be disciplined and stick to the program. I would have never imagined that with the sucess of losing nearly 20lbs in 2 weeks that I would cheat. But the thought of having a beer or two sounded good, and itstill does. Im not a drunk, i just like the taste! Whew...I feel better!

We've turned from Winos to W(h)iners! LOL!

I must admit, my first 'cheat day' on Phase 4 I had a glass of Bordeaux and a glass of Merlot with dinner, and it was not as good as I remembered it. I didn't have a crazy hangover though, but a lot of this stuff I was so crazy, nuts for in Phase 1 just isn't as good as I remember it being. But, I can try it out now in Phase 4 without guilt, but it's kind of a letdown - "This is what I was pining over for 6 months for?".

AWESOME LOSS IN 2 WEEKS! And wow, what a tease with the enchiladas!!! I'm heading down to San Antonio to visit my folks this weekend, but even in Phase 4, I'll still probably stick closer to carne asada & grilled peppers, never was much of a rice & cheese nut anyways.

i consider myself a food-a-holic. I am almost certain I suffer from not having the food I used to have before IP as much as an abuser of other adult habits. I have been driven to tears several times in the last 4 weeks as I watched others eat all the food I used to eat. The loss of food for me is somewhat like a loss of my best friend. But...being obese is killing me. I have reached rock bottom on my hate of being over weight. So as I have watched others around me eat to their delite, I have stayed true and never once said "heck with it" I'm going to eat too! The feeling of pride after you go home and knew that you never gave in is so worth it! And I am not saying you are a "holic" like me. I just wanted to let you know that everyone on this IP program goes thru the same thing. My vise happens to be food. Correction: USED to be food. :)

I dont think anyone is "slamming" you - they're just answering you question(s). If someone responds to a query and you disagree with their reply, that doesn't mean they're slamming you ...

And if you knew the answer to your question already ... ???
