Just checking in this morning to keep myself honest. WI #11 today, down 3 more lbs, total of 41, yay! Gonna make a huge effort this week to exercise a bit, get in all the veggies/water so I can maybe get into the 100's for the first time in at least 15 years.
Anyone else want to set a mini-goal (scale or non-scale) for this week? Thanks for all the info and support here, it's definitely helping me stay on track.
The hardest part for me is getting in all my water.
My mini goal for the weekend will be to get in all 64 oz each day.
For me, goals never get set without a plan. So here is my plan:
1. Pour a 64 oz pitcher of water early in the day, and keep it on the kitchen counter.
2. set the timer for 30 minutes and drink one glass within that 30 minutes.
3. fill the glass each time I finish.
I'm almost afraid to set weight goals for myself, I am still waiting for TOM to show up so I don't know when that week of no-gain will hit me. But I can set a NSV goal for next week!
I've been slacking off on exercise - I wanted to be walking in the morning at least a few days a week, but getting out of bed has been a chore. So here's my goal/plan:
1. GET TO BED ON TIME
2. When my 5:30 alarm goes off (I have to take my thyroid meds early) GET UP FOR THE DAY.
3. Walk at LEAST Monday-Wednesday-Friday, no less than 20 minutes.
A plan... I like it! Ok, here's my plan:
Cindy, I'm gonna copy your water plan (sounds flawless) and scorbett, like you I have to wake up early to take thyroid med, so I'll get up and do the elliptical at least 10 minutes MWF.
Excellent plan Delgen, and well thought out! We soooo have to do whatever it is we need to do so we can stay on plan.
For quite a few weeks, my stumbling block was getting my olive oil in consistently. Now, When I have my lunch, I just drink it down - literally!
I fill a paper cup with about a 1/4 cup of cold water, measure the olive oil and pour it in, then drink it all down in one fell swoop with a straw!
Trying to remember to drizzle it over my food just wasn't happening so - whatever works! (-:
It's ironic that taking in fat is a goal for so many of us, but in every other diet you're "no fat" conditioned so I now use sprays, no fat dressings etc. I use non-stick cookware... ADDING Oil has been a challenge for me too. Don't think I can follow your advice yet, but I'm definitly adding oil now every time I cook meat or veggies, even if my pan doesn't need it.
I'm going away for weekend and will be eating out, so I'm already looking forward to ordering omelettes for bf/lunch, and some salmon or something with salads supper. If I pack some RTD shakes and my restricteds, I should be able to stay OP, even if my hotel has no fridge. I did love someone's suggestion to ask for a fridge "for my meds"... so if I decide to bring salads, that's what I'll do. .... This is me being "naughty"... lying to get a salad fridge... LOL... Oh what will I do next?
Well, just another "fat" suggestion - I didn't put it in any of my recipes (maybe I'll make a note of it in the intro post), but for those of you that make veggie purees adding in some EVOO with your veggies in the blender is another way to make sure you get it in (make sure to remember to account for it).

New mini-goal..to go investigate the veggie puree thread.

Didn't get to bed on time last night (hubby was out all day with the kids so when I got home from work at 11:30pm we had to take a little re-connect time) but still within 45 minutes of when I planned. Hit the snooze on the alarm at 5:30, but managed to get up by 6, take my meds, and dress and get out for my walk by 6:15. Gorgeous morning, good tunes on my iPod, and 25 minute walk completed! I just finished my post-exercise shake and am now waiting for the coffee to brew

Good job! I did my elliptical Friday & Sunday. Have not done the water the way I wanted to, I think I've gotten it all in, but not sure.

Have a great Friday/weekend!
I too want to be into the 100's. Havent been there in at least 15 years also. I have 5 lbs to go and I am hoping by next WI (next Monday) I could be there! This board has been a great inspriation, I read it everyday and enjoy watching the losses pile up. I love the recipes and the stories. Thanks to all of you!
