Happy Monday all...I don't post here a lot but I do like to check in every now and then. I had my 5th WI and lost .6lbs. My weight loss is slow, but I'm not bothered by it. As long as the scale goes down, I am happy to keep going.

Good afternoon All. I need some help with the waffles. I purchased an electric princess waffle maker. it makes 5 heart-shaped circular waffles. It opens and closes like a sandwich maker. I have tried 3 times to make waffles and it's been a disaster. The waffle maker was put into the garbage and rescued again because I decided to ask on this forum for directions before I give up on it. My waffle mixture expands too much and sticks to the plates. So, when I open it it's just a mess, running over the edges and stuck to both plates.
Any advice please! I use the pudding packets with eggwhites and baking soda.

Question

Good Morning everyone!

I have been on IP for 3 weeks and have been doing well, no cheating

I have lost a total of 15.6 lbs and 11.5 inches (total goal is to lose 65 lbs) I started exercising this week in hopes of toning up while losing weight (after 2 kiddies, there is a lot of toning to be done.)

Does anyone know the criteria for exercising?...I read somewhere that you may be required to eat and extra packet/shake after excersing, but some exercise you don't?...If I am doing an hour of cardio, 10 minutes of tae bo, or toning exercises (all on different days, of course...let's not go crazy!)?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, and have a great day.

Awesome job so far! You absolutely want to add 1 packet (or other high protein/low carb product) within 1/2 hour after exercise. This diet is highly restrictive and low cal, adding exercise depletes the body even more and you want to preserve that precious lean muscle mass! If you are working out with any intensity, it's a good idea to have 1/2 to 1 restricted product an hour before you work out to give your body some carbs to burn too. I would say the extra packet after exercise would be after ANY exercise due to the nature of this diet - I only do light walking for 20 minutes, and I have an EAS AdvantEDGE drink (4 carbs, 17g protein) as soon as I get home.

Pulled a muscle in my lower back last Wed night. Was on bed rest for two days but hubby and son took care of me and made sure I was still OP! They are the best.

WEnt to the chiropractor on Friday (also where the clinic is). So while I was there I did weigh in a day early and was down another 3 lbs. WOO HOO!!!

50.6lbs gone forever!!!! Just 9.6lbs till I get into onederland!!! I cannot wait!!!

Gonna be a long work day as my back is still very sore and it is hard to sit for more than 5 min.

Hope everyone has a great OP Day!!!

Good Morning All!

Well Hurricane Isaac is headed straight for my house
I am at work right now, but will probably be off the rest of the week until next Tuesday being Monday is labor day.

I went to Walmart yesterday, not a single jug of water in that store. I have a case and my family has water (I'm going to my brothers house). I could stay at my house but the front of my neighborhood floods and I dont want to be stuck if I need to get out.

Well I have tons of work to do so I hope you all have a great day! Stay safe!

Fever is finally gone. I just shaved for the first time in a week and feel much better. School starts tomorrow. I'm bringing the kids to the Champlain Valley Fair today! Lots of fun.

Morning all! Long time no chat! Had a crazy weekend 'round these parts but lots of fun was had so no complaining. Had some people over for a bbq to celebrate my birthday on Saturday. Sucked when I brought out the cupcakes for everyone, but I stayed OP and had my strawberry wafer. Phew!

Friday we went to Canada's Wonderland, a huge amusement park up here. It was so much fun to actually get on to every ride I wanted to do and not worry about whether or not I'd fit - I just did! So much fun.

Thinking good thoughts for y'all having to contend with Isaac. Stay safe!!
