Another Early Bird! I've been awake since 4:30 for no apparent reason

Phase 1 Day 28. WI tomorrow
B: Pancake: IP Maple Oatmeal/zucchini
CHANGED! Used unrestricted banana pudding instead of the maple oatmeal to make my pancake
L: Chicken Soup with veggie puree
S: Orange Drink/cukes
D: pork loin my hubby smoked yesterday/coleslaw made with WF coleslaw dressing

I need to look at what veggies are languishing in the fridge and what I need to go buy. I need to shop for purees. And I need to make some plans for leaving Thursday nite to drive to Michigan for the weekend.

Want to make kale & zucchini chips but don't want to fire up the oven when it is 90+ degrees outside! Looks like rain cooled things off a little. Maybe I'll do that after sundown today.

If it keeps heading this way, I'll be sleeping less in a day or so. I grew up near the Louisiana coast, so I've been through a lot of them. When I was a kid, I think we had one just about every Labor Day weekend. I remember being frustrated because we never got to miss school because of the storm.

My kids on the other hand, have had to miss a week or more of school after Katrina and Gustav, and they had to eat MREs for lunch for days after going back to school because there wasn't fresh food available.

I don't get worried until they're a day or so out or if they're gigantic! The key is to be prepared!
