I got the Nesco from Bed, Bath, and Beyond - used a 20% coupon. I definitely need to get the Add-A-Trays (it comes with 4, but can accomodate up to 12 trays). I was able to do 3 squash in one round and 1 head of kale in another round.

Thanks, I took the kale chips that were left and put them in the dehydrator for 20 minutes and it crisped them up great. So, I guess I didn't get them completely done in the oven.

You are right about that! I love that the dehydrator doesn't heat up the kitchen like the oven does. I can't wait to see how they come out. I have squash and zucchini chips going in it right now.

Thanks so much! I have the coupon and the store is 10 minutes away...I will check to see if they have them in stock!
Thanks so much
How are you enjoying Phase 3? Is it a little nerve wracking being out of P1 or no problem for you?

Cyndie, please tell me how you made the zucchini chips and how you like them dehydrated!

The first time I made them in the oven. I tossed them with a tiny bit of EVOO and sprinkled a little Tony's. They lasted about five minutes out of the oven.

The dehydrator version is going right now and this is my first time with a dehydrator. I didn't use EVOO or Tony's, just a little sea salt. I will let you know how they turn out.

The first batch from the dehydrator came out wonderful. They tasted like Lays potato chips with a slight sweet taste. The second batch I sprayed with a little EVOO and some Tony's. These were even better and they didn't last long. I have another batch going right now. I love my new dehydrator.

Try spaying them with olive oil spray, uses less oil and is a lot quicker.

Really? I tried making zucchini chips and kale chips and I didn't like either. Maybe I didn't do them right. The kale chips were very brittle and would break very easily. Did. I maybe overlook them?

Maybe I didnt cook the zucchini chips long enough they were still a bit soft in the middle.

Maybe is should try again.

How much kale chips can you eat? Does this fall into unlimited salad or four cups veggies? Thanks-cooking my first batch in the oven right now and ordering a dehydrator!
