Help!!
Help, please. I am out of town at my parents and wrongly assumed there would be nice lean protein here. No go. There is no normal meat or seafood, all breaded and fried. There are eggs, though. Can I have eggs for my dinner protein? If son, how many? Do I just eat the whites? I didn't bring my IP info, just my packets and vegis.

Hang in there. I had a week like that, also. Just stick with it, make sure you are drinking your water, and maybe add a little more lettuce at meals. It WILL pass, I promise!! It doesn't last long.

Happy friday!! Had WI#5 today and down another 5!! Had a 1 lb weight gain last week so I am super happy this week. I guess the gain was caused by the soy sauce i had used for dinner on two nights!

Made it to the next decade today! 179.6 was my weigh in today. I'm thrilled!!! I haven't been here for 10 years...oh, how I missed this size.
Next mini goal is another decade. I can't believe it. Oh! Saw someone at work yesterday and I started to talk to him and ask how his project is going. He totally ignored me. I repeated myself (louder that time) and he looked at me and said "I didn't recognize you! Have you lost a ton of weight?" I've worked with this guy for a while now. He made my day. I'm still beaming over it. |
I want to thank everyone for all of their encouragement and advice yesterday. I think I may have finally identified what has been going wrong these last three weeks! My coach and I looked at my journal, but I think she was focused on making sure I was eating/drinking enough, that we overlooked something big that I discovered today...I was eating two restricted items on the days I had chili or spaghetti!
Her office is set up with the restricted items on one shelf and the unrestricteds on the other. However, the chili and spaghetti are on the unrestricted side! I knew I couldn't have them more than once a week, I just missed the part where that WAS my restricted for the day! I feel foolish for making this mistake, but I am happy to have found a reason why I haven't had the losses I was hoping for. Two restricted were probably just enough to keep me out of truly being in ketosis! Enjoy the weekend! |
